I'm reading on here and other places that this book and other things show that Cory should not be in Parliament. Funny, these lefties don't seem to understand a thing called democracy - Cory was voted in by the Australian people. He was number 1 on the Liberal ticket in South Australia and voted in by the electors.

his number means nothing to me ... either the public, or the party put him in .... which one.

I think the question would be better served by asking these:
1. Because the party decided he'd be 1 on the ticket and all above the line votes for liberals went to him?
2. was he parachuted into his seat?

I know both sides do this but it shows more closely where his support comes from.

Dress it whatever way that you want, but the fact is that he was elected by the public.
