Yes Armpit but how is this an answer to Adelcrow's point that while Abbott was in opposition he deliberately caused an increase in the number of refugee boats to Australia because Abbott was giving constant publicity to the issue. And it seems Abbott did so knowingly because as he repeated often since he's been in govt , giving publicity to this issue only encourages people smugglers. And more to the point what Abbott is now admitting to is that he deliberately sabotaged the Rudd governments efforts to stop people smuggling so that Abbott could accuse the Rudd government of failing to stop the boats. Despicable, and a betrayal of the trust of the Australian people.

It just shows how weak our media is for not jumping on Abbott as soon as he opened his mouth. They should be hammering him day and night over why he went out of his way to actively encourage people smuggling while in opposition.

Exactly..this thread isn't about how crap Keven and Julia were this is about Abbott deliberately encouraging people smuggling while he was opposition leader.
His own words since becoming PM have proved this to be true.
