Racist? You're smacking mad!

These shirts aren't racist! There was no "Australia" before 1788. In fact, it wasn't even called Australia at first - the East Coast settlement in what would later become Sydney was simply called New South Wales. At worst, the shirts are historically inaccurate in a chronological sense, but by no means racist!!! The shirt designs were apparently approved by Gillard's office in July last year but have been removed from shelves following a Twitter outcry.

Culturally insensitive is a better description than racist anyway.

And before you start, I don't give a f#ck, Most aborigines are either illiterate or too pissed to read anyhow.

I am however disturbed by the sudden need to celebrate the 26th of January the same way Yanks celebrate the 4th of July.

Not quite correct. There was Western Australia and South Australia, so it did exist before 1901. It's just that the colonies were self-governing until January 1901, when they basically amalgamated under one government. But the gist of your point is correct.

Gawd, you're too stupid! The Nazi's carried out a systematic extermination of Jews - it was an official policy of the Third Reich. No such policy EVER existed in this country pre or post-Federation. In fact, the colonial powers went to great lengths to try to live in harmony with the indigenous population. Go read a history book and educate yourself!
