But he made just one brief mention of his former colleague, referring to him as a "very hard working member of parliament... who built the margin in this seat up".

doesn't sound like they forgot anything .... I didn't realise they spent hours talking about former members when campaining in a particular seat ... last election my seat never once mentioned the former MP for this area, and he was a lib.... did they forget him too?

the whole story is a beatup load of bullsh1t, and Cods is the first to swallow it

On the other hand, nobody knows who the ALP person is, so she needs Shorten there to strengthen her "appeal". I imagine that most people in the Griffith Electorate would know who Bill Shorten is. Makes sense to me.
