These people refer to 'hand outs', meaning govt payments other people receive. Any payments THEY get are 'entitlements',

Yes, it's just a matter of degrees between the two. For example, both major parties support the idea that "full employment" means 4% to 5% of people out of work (official statistics), around 10% (reality). Neither supports a 35-hour work week.

Both ignore the real unemployment figures which are much higher than 10% BTW.
