Work it out - you screw 3 million pensioners and unemployed - who, BTW, pour their cash straight back into the economy where it is recouped in tax after tax as it circulates until it is back in the hands of Big Bro - meaning zero net loss to government from welfare anyway - for $5 a week each - overall grab-back about 3/4 of a billion bucks. A drop in the toilet for these idiots in Cambra who throw that away on crap every damned day!
That $0.75Bn also is not circulating in the economy at the same speed, and is taken up at a different and most likely slower rate in tax - unless of course it funds Clivagina Miner's lifestyle and goes to Acapulco for a laugh on a whim and NEVER is returned in tax but helps pay for the unearned private jet.
That's one small five bucks for mankind - one GIANT five bucks for a man!
I can never get over these morons in Cambra and their petty stealing from the poor to fund the rich.
I'll be marching on St Patrick's Day.....
ADDS:- All this is bullshit economics - you do not 'reduce welfare' by cutting it - you transfer it elsewhere in the economy and still pay the bills - one way or the other. And cutting out the immediate return cash flow from welfare is removing your own solid base of weekly tax revenue, thus further destabilising your own economic moves.
Where these idiots need to make cuts is in the rich welfare sections. Plenty of good wood to cut there!
ADDS AGAIN:- That's exactly why I'm going back into business for myself rather than begging for jobs like some beggar in the street. The only way to make a buck these days is to get all the tax cuts and concessions and even grants to start up - then write it all off on tax every year and live well!
