This government is so bereft of new policies they're just regurgitating Howard's old ones.

They want the unions made impotent again and wages back on freefall. The next government initiative will be the reintroduction of Workchoices under another name.

You've missed the plot dna. Abbott keeps a background profile because he KNOWS that the people are sick & tired of listening to pollies after 6 years of Rudd/Gillard.

He just pops his head up every now and again to give people news they WANT to hear like:
- the boats have stopped
- work for the dole
- we have to rein in our spending
