Yes or no yadda, did many of the Australian Muslim community condemn the actions during the riot you keep referring to?

Stratos,

Please give me leeway to express what i want to say.

And here it is;
I do not deny
that words came out of the lips of spokesmen for the Sydney moslem community, words that ostensibly, could be interpreted, as a sincere condemnation of 'other' moslems, moslems who paraded placards on Sydney streets, calling for the beheading of persons who have the temerity to offend moslems, by NOT believing as they [moslems] believe.

Whether what those moslems declared was sincere [or not!] - only God knows.

Men are such liars.

p.s.
Those sentiments, expressed by those moslems, who paraded those placards on Sydney streets, calling for the beheading of persons who offend ISLAM and who offend moslems, seems fully in accord with what the Mohammedan religion 'lawfully' and 'rightly' endorses....

"O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)."
Koran 9.123

"Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:...."
Koran 9.111

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. "
Koran 9.29

This has to be the longest "yes" I’ve ever read.

Congrats, Y, you’ve done it again.

K,

This is a forum for public debate, a place where persons are usually encouraged to express their views and opinion.

In my post [above] i'm trying to [clearly] express my -self- .

Whereas [to me] obfuscation, seems to be the 'self' that you are seeking to 'spread abroad' in this public forum.

To me, you don't want to encourage you want to discourage any critical discussion or any critical scrutiny of ISLAM and the behaviour of moslems ?

Am i mistaken, K ?

Can you explain what you mean by proper in this context?

In short, I don't think this case justifies the claim that "this raises serious questions about the ability of the Muslim community to reject and stamp out this behaviour".

Why not? Would they only be incapable of dealing with this criminal behaviour if they practiced it even more openly? The guy went shopping for an imam willing to solemnise his pedophilia. He approached other imams as well. He was so open about it that he walked into a centrelink office and asked for spousal benefits for the child he was having sex with. How is it that this guy was so clueless, even after imam shopping, that he did not even realise he would end up in jail if he got caught by non-Muslims? How is it that he could be so open about it, but it did not come to the attention of authorities until he walked into the centrelink office? If a 26 year old Christian walked into his church one day with a 12 year old girl and asked the priest to marry them, then started asking around for someone else to conduct the ceremony, how long do you think it would take before he was on the police radar? There is something seriously wrong here. It takes one of these Muslims to be so stupid that they walk into a centrelink office and explain their pedophilia to get caught.

They hide it because "the community" would castrate them if they found out.

Do you see the difference?

Good point, Y. I should find a few websites and get some opinions.

And then learn to "express.myself" in legalese.

Who said they didn't find out? They turned a blind eye for years and years and that's why now there conducting a royal commission.

Children flogged at Anglican Church ‘hellhole’

The North Coast Children’s Home in Lismore was a hellhole. Kids were flogged with broomsticks, canes, pony whips and belts. They were locked in cupboards and made to stand for ages on one leg. If they fell over they were belted.

Daily Reports of Deviant Catholic Priests

Reports of Catholic priests being charged for deviant behaviour anywhere in the world appear to being made almost daily. One such report by The Australian newspaper is of Pennsylvanian police having charged a Catholic priest after he was found with a “pantless” 15 year old boy in a car park at Pennsylvania State University. The priest told the police he was “counselling” the teen. He later admitted having arranged the meeting through a casual encounters website. He has been suspended from his parish.

Churches to count the cost of abuse – 100,000 victims to sue

UP to 100,000 people will make claims for compensation in the wake of the royal commission into institutionalised abuse, according to a leading lawyer.

They are pinning their hopes on the commission recommending that a “redress fund” be set up, into which institutions at blame would pay commensurate sums of money.

Lawyer Peter Kelso said the Catholic Church may be forced to sell some of its multi-million dollars worth of land and property holdings to pay its fair share of a fund.

While the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse will not be able to make awards of compensation, its terms of reference call on it to find ways so that victims can get redress from institutions.

Only the muslims community need to condemn the actions of few of their members.

On the same day of the muslim riot, there was a big riot I think in WA, where aussies bashed cops, destroyed property and damaged cop cars.Hardly any media coverage.

Aborigines protetested in Sydney few days ago carrying signs to kill and bash cops.No condemnation and very little media coverage.

Only the muslim community need to condemn the actions of a few of their members.

On the same day of the muslim riot, there was a massive riot I think in WA, where aussie drunks bashed cops, created havoc, smashed police cars, but no media coverage of the event.

Aborigines protested few days ago in Sydney and protesters carried signs to the effect "Bash and kill cops".
Hardly any media coverage and no condemnation or press releases from the aboriginal community.

Wally, that is what it looks like when a community tries to stamp out this behaviour.

In comparison, a Muslim shops around for in imam to solemnise his pedophilia, then walks into a centrelink office expecting them to give a handout to his child bride.

Do you see the difference yet?

Serial, walked into a centrelink as well, that is hilarious and disturbing (though not surprising) at the same time.

He doesn't know the age of consent but by golly, he is going to check with clinkers to see if there is a dollar in it for him and the child bride.  Cool

with us two.

Isn't it K ?

You are weak, K.

You clearly hold an indefensible opinion, K.

Unwilling to 'disclose'.

"....not willing to reveal his real opinions in this forum, on any serious issue."

Just someone who seeks to shut down all debate [about ISLAM/moslems], through your disparagement of those who do express an opinion [whenever that legitimate expression of opinion, does not coincide with your own [undisclosed] opinion].

wally1,

I condemn that LAWLESSNESS, and i hope that the courts will 'throw the book' at such people [i.e. imprison them for a substantial term].

Y, I’ll disclose my opinion on the laws of men: I agree with your post below.

You, however, declare Israelis to be above the laws of men, and as such, are in no position to condemn lawlessness.

Another typical post by K, Y.
