I would only surmise that they figured they were going to lose the trade centres anyway, and could not bother policing every threat made against America. Other theories is that they were going to hit the Middle East, and the attack would give them sympathetic support from the world to invade the Middle East.

Let me elaborate. There is a lot of oil in the Middle East. It's what keeps the region relatively viable. The United States had a president who was associated strongly with oil companies. His father also. A false flag operation would allow the USA to attack Iraq (a major oil producing country) and then get control over their oil industry. Otherwise, the whole "searching for WMDs" bs would be strategically prohibitive.

Imagine a finite resource, that has lately become more expensive as a result of hoarding production, and the lack of new oil fields, being in the hands of a world superpower? It would have the oil companies profit that much more, and leave the third world in the third world conditions.

It take as particular kind of insantity to believe most of this conspiracy theory. I do however particularly love the belief that NO PLANES hit the WTC. That anyone could seriously believe that is perhaps the best demolition of this argument possible.

And remember, these same buffoons don't believe man has walked on the moon either.
