*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

Just asked the lad, and he says it looks like an 'adware', or, if you have opened an unsolicited email, a 'letter-bomb'.

Either way you will have to do a full system scan with a top Anti-virus program.

Thanks, Froggie, but I have a paid-for Anti-Virus app (TrendMicro) and a paid-for anti-spyware app. (Spyhunter) and I even used a special anti-spy and virus app yesterday that took around 4 hours to crawl through my system looking for baddies.

Nothing.

Another thing I haven't been able to do is choose Safe Mode when I boot up. The arrow keys don't move the highlight to settle on 'Safe Mode'.

I'm very close to doing a clean/install.

Do you do any business advertising, Herbert, either for yourself, or an employer?
'Quotify Partners' is an advertising mob, and have either picked you up through legit contact, or accidentally clicking on one lf their ads.(Not that I recall seeing an on-line ad for them.)

You could do what I do in this sort of situation.

Head to your local computer tech and point it out to him.

Never paid more than $20 yet.
Well worth the peace of mind.

Smiley

PS....My arrow keys didn't work work on the 2 reboots I have done.

Thanks, Froggie. Someone will know how to get rid of 'Quotify Partners' banner that runs across the top of my browser in the tabs bar.

No one on the net knows how to fix it.

Sounds like you've installed some adware. You should install Revo Uninstaller. Download the free(not 30 day trial) version. Then you can start to have a look at exactly what is installed and running on your machine.

Herb,

Just a thought, maybe you have picked up an "extension" from somewhere?  In Firefox, check Tools/Add-ons and see if this "Quotify Partners" appears in the Extensions.  If so get rid (delete) of it.  I may be wrong but worth checking, just in case.

Then look in firefox extensions and delete
