Well, that is the legal system for you.

I hope a real exploiter of HSU union members, Kathy Jackson, is also found guilty. Couldn’t believe the ABC STILL describing her as a “whistleblower!” No doubt there will be an appeal.

Now that the judicial system has taken its course and the outcome is GUILTY, throw him in a cage and chuck away the key.

But that's the DIFFERENCE matty: It's the JUDICIAL SYSTEM that decides. NOT News Ltd, or Tony, or people with half a lobe missing.

Alevine, you'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to see that he was guilty from day one, it was blatantly obvious. Yet that didn't stop lefties on here (I don't think that you did but others) from saying that it was a conspiracy orchestrated by the likes of Jackson, Bolano, Abbott and the Liberal party at large, and that Thomson was an innocent man.

matty, you'd have to be missing a lobe to think it's okay to do prosecution and judgement, OF A CRIME, by newspaper.

And that's the point.

I understood/understand the point that you made/are making, but my point is that people made up false, unfair and above all else, completely illogical, allegations against these people, and they supported Thomson's speech in parliament, which is now found out to be full of lies.

Will these people now have the grace and humility to apologise and admit that they were wrong?

So if you understand my point, would you agree that it was not the place of Tony Abbott, then opposition leader, to try and perform the prosecution of a CRIME from opposition benches? Do you agree that Tony ABbott should  have immediately left it to the police to do their job - which would seem that they were able to do, after all?   As opposed to undermine the entire system for the sake of political point scoring?

You still haven't answered my question.

Abbott didn't try to prosecute Thomson, what he did was say that he needed to explain what he did. Thomson just remained quite for a while, and that made him look even more suspicious. The Coalition ran with it thereafter, because they could see what was obvious to anyone with half a brain - Thomson was guilty!

Now, ask yourself this - why did Gillard (eventually) remove him before he was found to be guilty by the courts?

As an English major matty, you should know that it's quiet, and not quite. Wink

Abbott did nothing but try to prosecute Thomson. He thought he could be judge and juror, instead of letting the NORMAL process go its course.

I'm glad you agree with me on that point, it's a shame that you support it however.

Unfortunately auto correct doesn't account for typos when the typos are real words.

I disagree with you about abbott. Why hasn't you answered my question/s yet? I answered your's.

Your's is also incorrect.

Come on Matty!

I didn't see it that way, I only saw that you agreed with me on Tony and his complete disregard for the judicial process.

I know, yours already indicates possession, so doesn't require an apostrophe. I just can't seem to not make errors/typos when on my iPhone.

No, I made a clear point about many lefties on here alleging that the likes of Abbott and Jackson were complicity in this casem, when it turns out that they were not. You haven't addressed that question at all, nor have you answered my question about Gillard kicking him out before the matter had been solved in court.

It's interesting to reflect on Thomson's booster, our very own Wild One and the tosh he used to drag in here from Independent Australia. I can imagine that Wild One is out there trying to convince anyone prepared to listen that Melbourne magistrate  Charlie Rozencwajg delivered his findings without the benefit of reading Independent Australia first. What a silly magistrate.

For the record:

Quote:
Jacksonville 63: the "doomed" prosecution case against Craig Thomson.

In a Melbourne court yesterday, the shambolic prosecution case against Craig Thomson toppled and teetered even closer to total collapse. Peter Wicks reports.

YESTERDAY, in the Melbourne Magistrates Court, Craig Thomson was left scratching his head.

In what has been the latest bizarre event in the whole saga surrounding the former MP, the prosecution in the criminal case have gone all schizophrenic on us, offering one thing and doing another.

Sources close to the case have told IA of the prosecution approaching Thomson with an offer they likely hoped would be too good ‒ or Thomson too broke ‒ to refuse.

Now you are showing what a real fool you are Monkey Boy... Jackson was only 1 of a group that blew the whistle on Thomson...  who in case you missed it was found GUILTY...  or did you actually believe his insane story...  which reminds me did he not mislead parliament was he not backed unconditionally by Shorten and Gillard?

Bring on the RC into Unions. Cool

If you read all the multiple Threads on this matter, you will see that your question....which of course implies duplicity on my part...demands the answer......No.

I have stayed out of deciding the issue.
