Get a job in one of his protected industries.  Mining, News Ltd, or Farming.

Avoid unprotected industries such as manufacturing and small business.

Small business are the ones who get slammed in a recession.  The big players usually increase market share as they have the capital to see it out.

simple.  be self employed and offer a service or product that the public want.

How not to survive?
Work in an industry where the union movement has priced you out of a job
or Work in the public service and where the lower tax take means your employer (the australian public) judges you are not required any more.

The market always sorts these things out.
A recession is not an obstacle, its an opportunity

Shocked Shocked

'The market' is nothing! 'The market' is barter without currency and control...

Government intervention IS ECONOMICS 101... aqua is a cognitive dissonance agent representing fossil fools incorporated hijacking your childrens global economy ..

** CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL AND ALL YOU IGNORAMUSES NEED TO PUT DOWN THE RED WINE ADDICTION AND CONSIDER WHY YOU HAD CHILDREN...

Incorrect. The government set the rules and make sure the players play by the rules. They then assume a position of quiet servitude and interfere with play as little as possible.
The trouble begins when the 'umpires' start thinking they are the players.
No one remembers who umpired last years AFL grand final.
This is as it should be.
People like Rudd, Gillard, Abbott have the skills of a ball boy or a touch judge.
A man has to understand his limitations,
Unfortunately, they don't.
Rupert, twiggy, gina, fox, frank Lowie, dick smith, Pratt.
These are the important players. These are your dream team.

Union reps and career liberal staffers deciding what's what.
Don't make me laugh

Point to a first world w/out unions!

GAME SET AND MATCH ME...THANX FOR COMING- GO BARTER HALF A SHEEP FOR ANOTHER ITEM OF SURVIVAL!

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

Yes there is some truth in that.
Tony and Bill both have shown no interest in small business.
This is very damaging.
Big business is not a good employer, can move profits and capital overseas.
Public service do not pay net tax, they are a drain on small business (a parasite, if you like).
Only small business MUST employ locals and pays nett tax.
Yet both sides of politics show little interest in them.

Hear, hear!  Just another small set of voters to be conned by some big promises.
