Funny how the lecties are going on about a lack of women in the government and the appointments made by the government, yet they were mocking, and gloating over the defeat of, a woman who was going to be a Cabinet Minister, had she not been cheated out of her rural Victotian seat.

Also white a bit of sexism and misogyny displayed by the left there again when that happened.

As usual, the moral flexibility of the left rears its ugly head.

So let me get this straight, it's the fault of the people in Wangaratta/Albury/Wodonga that we don't have more women in cabinet? Because the women in government are lacking calibre, and the only ones with calibre were... Mirabella and Bishop?

You're a ding bat Grin

Comprehension isn't a strong point of yours, my dear.

That wasn't what I was saying at all. I meant that lefties such as yourself were laughing at Sophie and some were making appalling comments about her, when it looked as though she was about to lose her seat, because of a dodgy system. None of up seemed concerned that it meant one less woman in the Cabinet.

So again, your assertion is that it's the fault of the people of indi that tony has no women of calibre.

So with the coalition, in order to have women in politics, one must always keep them as soon as they get in, regardless of how crap they are.  It's the only way.  If by some miracle a woman gets in, hold on to her.

Well yes, technically it was, but again, you are missing the point.  The left wanted Sophie to lose, and McGowan to win, and they didn't care that that meant that there would be one less woman in Cabinet.

Forgive the left for assuming that the coalition has more than 2 women of calibre?  Grin

Please stop twisting my words.

Why did you want her to lose when it meant one less woman?

I couldn't care less, I don't live in indi.  But I'm glad that indi stood up against poor representation and voted the way they wanted to.

Why do you feel the coalition has no women of calibre now?

You couldn't care less? Is that why were so being so cocky when she was about to lsoe and then when she did (despite getting many more first votes)?

Poor representation - she was up at 6 every day, working for her electorate. In fact, I have read comments from many in the electorate who believe that McGowan doesn't reprsent them well, and has changed stance on many issues since being elected. She also voted to keep the carbon tax, which most there want gone. Not that I feel sorry for them, they were warned but didn't listen, their fault.

When did I say that there were no women of calibre in the Coalition?

Well you assert that because Mirabella lost , that's why we have 1 woman in cabinet. So no more women of calibre left?

Funny that you should ignore the rest of my post and just highlight that part.  Roll Eyes

I didn't say that, I just said that because she lost, she wasn't made a Minister.

You, meanwhile, are saying that women should be put into jobs/positions just because they're women. And by the way, what do you have against penises?

I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying that it's odd to me that no women of calibre exist in the Liberal Party (except for bishop), or Tony feels no women of calibre exist to appoint into import roles.

tsk tsk. For tony's it's definitely a man's world out there. Typical misogynist.

It sounds to me as though you have a case of penis envy.

No I'm fairly happy with mine, thanks Smiley

I'm not happy with my PM discrediting 1/2 the population. That part is disgusting.  And disgusting that your political party doesn't seem to recognise women as MPs. tsk tsk.

Good to hear, so am I. Although your posts make you sound like a feminist woman with a case of penis envy.

Maybe you could tell us why the men who are there at the moment are less qualified than the female MPs who are not Ministers? Also why your party thinks that women automatically should be entitled to 40% of 'safe' seats and Ministry positions?
