Yes, close Manus Island now, send them ALL home (or back to Indonesia or their starting point) and let them apply for refugee status with their documents in hand.

Labor opened it, coalition killed in it …  Greens will close it.

the scabby greens would sell their own grandmother to try and hang onto a little bit of power... the grovelled up to Gillard, they grovelled up to Rudd... they voted how both Dudd and Juliar told them to vote

and they opened up manus together ....

once again the scabby greens wont take responsibility for the mess they have created and that's why their polling went down last election...

Manus should be closed and the asylum seekers held there should be safely escorted back to Australia ... If Abbott is going to hold them prisoner, then he has a duty of care to provide a safe environment for them ... locking them up to be beaten and killed by the locals is a clear breach of that duty of care ... As sooin as the guards heard rumours they locked the gates and ran and hid on a government boat ......

I hope the asylum seekers launch a class action against Abbott, the mangy dog that he is..

I have to agree with the shut down of Manus, all the illegals to be sent back to Indo and a full refund from PNG and Rudd of again wasted tax payers money.

under the scabby Labrat/Greentard government all the illegals had to do was light a stick on fire or climb on a roof and they folded like a deck of cards to their demands...

no guts and should have never been in charge in the first place...

who needs these cowards in this country?

if things weren't fine in their own country then stay there and fight for it... not come running to Australia like cowards to lick the sweat of the tax payers back...

look at Ukraine,

look at them fight for their country after they were double dealt by their president...

good luck to them.. hopefully they fight hard and make him stand down....

i may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Greens have never supported offshore processing.

Thanks for nothing, con-servatives!

Less than a dozen were in detention when Rudd won office from Howard. Since former PM Rudd dismantled the Pacific Solution, more than 50,000 people have arrived. So many, in fact, that Gillard started letting them live in the community. There were few incidents in detention facilities because detainees knew that the Labor government was weaker than wet toilet paper on this issue and they had a good chance of staying here. Now that they have seen the new Abbott government take a much more stern approach to this issue, they're worried about their chances of staying here - and rightly so. This incident has taken place because the policy instituted by Morrison is working.

Oh, the shame of it all!

Quote:
In a meeting on Sunday night they were told that if they were not found to be a refugee, neither the Australian nor PNG governments would help them resettle in PNG.

That night 35 people escaped the centre, wielding bed posts as weapons in protest at the news and 19 people were injured. On Monday afternoon, the tension had become so great asylum seekers were contacting refugee advocates saying they were fearful of a violent attack by PNG police and angry locals.

All their own work.

Muslims doing what comes naturally to them when frustrated or denied in any way at all: Resort to violence.

They are told that those of them who are found to be even worse liars than the average amongst them, will be, in effect, deported.

Whereupon they tip their hand and reveal who they really are by going on a riot.

Why would they go on a rampage of destruction if they are genuine refugees?

Being the deceitful idiots that they are, they prove themselves to be liars by immediately going on a rampage of destruction.

These people are poison to Australian society.

And good for them. 'We' brought it about with 'our' PM's inhumane, xenophobic and racist 'policy'.

Your pin-up boy's asshole policies caused this, not the refugees.

And not Labor or the Greens either.

I'd do the same thing in their shoes.

Why has my country suddenly become populated with scumbags?

You want these people here? They ignore our policies and laws and go on a deadly rampage when they get an indication that their efforts may have been for nothing. These are not the actions of people of good character that we would want to live here among us.

The situation has become a lot worse under this  government for two reasons.

1. The refugees are now being classified as criminals - not asylum seekers, so the Papuans have become hostile believing their community is under threat.
You gotta back that up and be more clear.

2.  The refugees have been told that there is no hope of being resettled in PNG, Australia or any other country, but they will possibly spend 10 years in detention.
No the story came out that they were told they would not be resettled in Australia.  The government is following the ALP policy and the agreement with PNG.

This harshness is not going unnoticed.
What ALP policy?
Grin Why not just follow normal immigration protocol and try to keep the peace instead of deliberately stirring up tension and anger on both sides of the fence by making threats, innuendos and accusations about a group of people who haven't even been assessed yet?
No one is stirring up people on both sides of the fence at least the government isn't that's just a stupid statement.

he means they should abandon ALP policy
