The pursuit of lust . . .
Feb 19th, 2014 at 9:29am

. . .or keeping it in your pants.
The wisdom of the ages cautions us against the pursuit of lustful desires. But we do it anyway, or most of us do, I certainly have.
Experience finally teaches us though that it's not worth everything. Apart from anything else, it's a thirst that is seldom slaked.

So what has it cost this ex-MP, apart from $6000 a pop so we hear?
His career is finished. I don't imagine any union will have him back.
His family is torn apart probably, the saddest part of it all.
He has to live with having ripped off all those workers who trusted him. Maybe he can.
And he's facing jail time, although he'll probably appeal and may avoid that. But I expect those holier than thou on the bench will feel it is their bounden duty to make an example of him and I guess they should.
We all thought there was no doubt about his guilt a long time ago, except for a certain PM. "I have complete confidence in the Member for Dobell".
Justice is so slow isn't it.

If there is a God, wouldn't you think he (or she or it) might have come up with a better system for procreation than one involving a drive that seems designed to get you into trouble.

his wife must be devastated.. listening to all that would have been heart breaking...I am sure there are a lot of people who cannot live with sleaze..porn call it what you like.. ask Charlie Sheen... he is an expert on it..

I couldnt think of anything worse than living with a man who obviously loves the red light world... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes..

even those girls would have a use by date I am sure.. and then he would move on..ugh....he happened to be a MP...so he is in the limelight.. but a lot of men use these places on a regular basis..so ... well there must be a lot of men .. that have that drive as you put it????.. I do know they want to extend the red light district in ACT so it is thriving.. Cheesy Cheesy

Did you mean "can't live without sleaze"? That's true.
It's like chasing the rainbow but never getting there.
There's a saying among blokes, but I won't repeat it here in mixed company, except to say that there is no conscience where sex is involved.

I am astounded that any man could be so utterly foolish.  I mean - what is the value of a bought woman anyway?

I'm one of those unfortunates who need to feel a 'connection' with a woman to appreciate her naked qualities properly.. and I simply cannot understand how any man could be so stupid as to purchase at huge expense a piece he could get with some real value anywhere... and especially the way this guy went about it using other people's money.

How stupid can one man be?

He's not the first and he won't EVER be the last.
Strange isn't it?
I wonder is it just the sex drive or is it risk that is the driver?
Anyone seen Freud lately?

Well, I wasn't going to say it and if I had, it would have read slightly different.
Maybe it's not true, maybe it's what we tell ourselves to suppress conscience.

What's the betting that if Thomson had been visiting a GAY brothel ~ the media commentary would have been a lot more lenient, and 'understanding', and supportive, and careful not to seem to be 'homophobic'.

Damn right.

Well done, sirrah - you got the double entendre!

We all know what I mean - and yes - it most likely is just a salve to conscience.  I can say no.. I think I did once or twice......... lemme see now .. somewhere in the back files..... not under 'Dead Enemies'.... not 'Old Vendettas In Need Of Resolution'....umm.. 'Women I Have Known'.. too general....

Ah!  Here it is - 'Famous Actresses I have Slept With Without Sex!".. damn - I remember that - what a party..... drinking all night, didn't get into a fight... wonder if that invite was for something more..... always take a lady at her word....

No - it's not just you Herb - I've always been that way.  Bit of a Quaker or something - there is a word for it.... one lass called me that once.

Legacy of my German grandfather I think.

ADDS:-  Oh, yes - very good - if he was 'getting in touch' with his sensitive/gay/feminine side he'd be home and hosed.....

Ah - here's the word - a 'Puritan' - don't get me wrong - I love women as much as any man - just not every woman.... only the ones I like and link with.... which is around 10% of applicants and those tested in the saddle....

Call me old fashioned, but I am one of those males who think sex without love is nothing but pure friction.

But sex with love, now that is a totally different story.
