I always smiled at the Australians' obsessions with water and road tolls.

When I was told they printed the % levels of dams and reported the state road toll on TV I thought it was a joke.

Perth is essentially a desert so I can only speak for it making total sense for us to be ever mindful of it!

Thank you. You are the first to acknowledge that it is a cultural desert.

They are short of water too but there are so many Poms there it hardly makes a difference.

Poms do tend to disdain water.

Andre is a Pom and they disdain water and have no use for it other than making tea.

Billions of litres of rain water could be harnessed if the Greens would discontinue their blocking of the building of dams. There hasn't been a new dam built in this country in a good 20 years or so.

Waiting on the GAIA - the Great Australian Inland Aquifer, which will be created from joining up all the holes in the ground and waiting for the big rains....  one day, my son, you will be able to water ski from Perth to Adelaide and Darwin.... we'll need patrol boats to see the sides and to prevent any WA boat people getting in...

How do you waste water?, its 100% recyclable, the glass of water you drink today could have been pissed out of a dinosaurs dick 50 million years ago.

I had never seen such an obsession with water before.

Printing percentages of how full dams were. It is just quite bizarre.

No good ever came from the resourcing of body waste.  I'm considering creating an ear wax ball to challenge accepted concepts of sexuality or something.  AIDS of the ears can be avoided by not listening to rectums

Water everywhere and not a drop to drink.

And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.”
