Wow, Australia takes the G20 presidency and displays—a complete and utter lack of leadership:

"In a major step forward, the G20 finance ministers and Central Bank governors have decided to put a number on our aspiration," Mr Hockey said.

"We are committed to implementing policies that aim to lift our collective GDP by more than 2 per cent above the trajectory implied by current policies over the next five years.

"Put differently, our policies could deliver over $2 trillion more in real economic activity and tens of millions of new jobs."

Wow, Hockey wants to put an extra $2 trillion into the CHinese economy .... which country are you the treasurer for Hockey?

Our government's most obvious contribution was to take several key issues off the table.

The most notable of these, explicitly ruled out by Mr Abbott, is climate change. The leading members of the G20 - the US, the European Union and China - are taking substantial steps to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. But there is no point in trying to put together an agreement in an international forum that is led by people who think mainstream climate science is ''crap''. The relevant discussions will take place in other forums, without Australian input.

We used to be a leader, were looked up to. Now we are a pariah nation led by an ape!

Stupid rightarded being oh so smart “so we will reduce our 1.6% of emissions by 5% and so do sod all yuk yuk.” No idea of leadership. Well, maybe we did enough (and will again 2016 on) because all these other big nations are now acting to reduce emissions.
