Just for dumbsmithy:
Lt Gen Campbell was chosen because of his experience. He was commander of Australian military operations in the Middle East and served in East Timor. He has also served as Deputy National Security Adviser. In short, he was chosen because he has the experience and gets things done. Whether there is another Naval officer who has similar experience, who knows? But clearly he was chosen because he has the experience for this type of operation.
isnt it anarchy if a military persons disobeys his commander in chief who happens to be the PM of the day?.. anyway.. and yet some mongrels call him a prostitute...but then I guess a leftie would know the meaning of that wouldnt they??..
how sad how bloody sad.
I thought you people liked plain speaking?
Calling a spade a spade is what I'm doing.
As proven by his appearance at the senate inquiry his nothing more than window dressing & his capitulation( or perhaps willing participation) is a disgrace to the Uniform.
His a prop for Morrison nothing else, otherwise he'd answer questions without looking for direction from Morrison or more correctly Credin.
And GET IT RIGHT, we are not the USA Tony is not the CC.
The person in charge of our military is a women(quick get the witch posters & comment on her fashion sense) the GOVERNOR GENERAL HILARIOUS>>>
The ADF's legal standing draws on the executive government sections of the Australian Constitution. Section 51(vi) gives the
Commonwealth Government the power to make laws regarding Australia's defence and defence forces. Section 114 of the
Constitution prevents the States from raising armed forces without the permission of the Commonwealth and Section 119 gives the Commonwealth responsibility for defending Australia from invasion and sets out the conditions under which the government can deploy the defence force domestically.[6]Section 68 of the Constitution sets out the ADF's command arrangements. The Section states that "the command in chief of the naval and military forces of the Commonwealth is vested in the Governor-General as the Queen's representative".
In practice, however, the Governor-General does not play an active part in the ADF's command structure, and the elected Australian Government controls the ADF. The Minister for Defence and several subordinate ministers exercise this control. The Minister acts on most matters alone, though the National Security Committee of Cabinet (NSC) considers important matters. The Minister then advises the Governor-General who acts as advised in the normal form of executive government.[6]
Current priorities[edit]
