A woman pastor has been sentenced to 12 years' jail for drug smuggling.

Bernadine Prince, 42, was found guilty of smuggling 9 kilograms of methamphetamine and heroin found in her luggage at Darwin International Airport in May last year.

Australian Federal Police said the drugs were valued at about $2 million.

Prince, who founded a church called Oasis of Grace in the western suburbs of Sydney, maintained she did not know about the drugs...

...In sentencing Prince to 12 years, Justice Barr set a non-parole period of six years.

"You are an intelligent woman, articulate and well-spoken but also quite cunning and manipulative," he said.

No jail for 19yo 'boy's boy' who engaged in sex acts with girl from church group

A 19-year-old who engaged in sexual acts with a 16-year-old he met at Canberra church youth group has avoided prison time.

Thomas Carney, now 21, met the girl at the youth group in mid-2011, and he began “pestering” her with sexually explicit text messages.

At one point, the girl asked him if she could use his credit card to purchase phone credit.

He asked what he would get, saying a blow job was as low as he would go.

The girl eventually complained about Carney to their youth group leader in mid-2012, saying he kept “asking her for sexual stuff”.

Carney knew the girl was 16 at the time...

...Not long afterwards, Carney asked the girl to come over.

She agreed and the pair began engaging in sexual acts.

...He was charged with two offences, one of using electronic means to suggest a sexual act and another of having sexual intercourse with a young person.

Justice Richard Refshauge sentenced Carney in the ACT Supreme Court on Thursday...

...Carney was sentenced to eight months prison, which was wholly suspended for a period of two years.

He was placed on a good behaviour order and will be sent to the adult sex offender program...

Islamic law says you will be stoned to death for adultery
Islamic law says consenting sex outside of marriage is punishable by flogging with 100 lashes
There is no prescribed punishment for having sex with an animal.
sunnah.com/abudawud/40/115

I can see why muslim men find sex with animals attractive.

You should clean up your own beliefs before criticising others

Your taking the sex with animal hadith out of context.

The Hadith doesn't condone of promote Sex with animals and the Hadith is merely saying that prophet Mohamed didn't mention any kind of punishment for sex with Animals cause stuff like that didn't happen in his time.

Since there was scenario like that during his time there was no rules of punishment for people who does such a stupid act.

When you start a fire you need fuel to keep it going.
In hell the atheists will be the fuel for the fire for all of eternity.

It's funny that when atheists are in turmoil or near death they turn to god.

Like the singer cat Stevens,he was drowning in the sea and almost close to death, what did cat Stevens say "O god I will work for you". He then survived the drowning and turned to god.

Former Catholic priest James Jennings, 80, jailed for sustained sex attacks at Bendigo in the 1960s

...

A FORMER Catholic priest has been jailed for the sustained sexual abuse of teen boarders at a regional Victorian college.

James Jennings, 80, was today found guilty by a jury of five counts of assault for the attacks on three young boarders in the mid 1960s...

...The attacks, on the boys aged 12 and 13, started shortly after Jennings was appointed to teach at St Vincent’s College, Bendigo in 1963.

The students were all in Year 7 or 8 when they were abused in similar ways between 1964 and 1968.

On each occasion Mr Jennings fondled or masturbated the boys.

In one incident he allegedly instructed one boy to masturbate him, saying “he owed him one”...

Alabama children’s pastor tells police he ‘cannot remember’ how many boys he molested

On Thursday, a pastor in Muscle Shoals, Alabama pleaded guilty to 16 counts of sodomy, three counts of sexually abusing a child under 12-years-old, and one count of child pornography.

Jeffrey Dale Eddie, also known as “Brother Jeff,” had served as the children’s pastor at Highland Park Baptist Church since 1998. He was first discovered molesting a young boy on January 22, 2014, however, it was not until four days later that church leaders notified police of the abuse, which is a clear violation of Alabama law.

Alabama has a mandatory reporting statute that requires “[a]ll hospitals, clinics, sanitariums, doctors, physicians, surgeons, medical examiners, coroners, dentists, osteopaths, optometrists, chiropractors, podiatrists, nurses, school teachers and officials, peace officers, law enforcement officials, pharmacists, social workers, day care workers or employees, mental health professionals, members of the clergy” to report cases of child abuse or neglect.

According to court documents obtained by WAFF, Eddie confessed to performing acts of oral sex on many of the youths in his charge. When police asked how many youths he may have molested, Eddie said that there were “so many that [he] advised he cannot remember.”

Over the protestations of his lawyer, Eddie’s bond was set at $1 million.

Colbert County District Attorney Bryce Graham said the reason for that is because, “[b]ased on the evidence in this case and the seriousness of the allegations, we feel it’s better for the community that the defendant remains incarcerated.”

The church posted a message on its website asking anyone with information about further abuses perpetrated by Eddie to contact the Muscle Shoals Police Department.

if there was a hell there won't be any room in hell with all the religious freaks . ... notice the religious freaks are the ones that always sit in judgement of others ... didn't Jesus once say 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone?' Or do you think you are god and the choice is yours?

Religious nuts like you are the biggest hypocrites out there

How is this a crime? The age of consent in the ACT is 16.

Oh, I know, the boy didn’t denounce his paedophile prophet - that must be it.

Yes, I can see why he should be jailed.
