I love the mardi gras - it gives the homophobes amongst us something to froth over, whilst secretly wishing they were on the float themselves!

As for the question about gay people having jobs - how do you think we buy stuff?

I know gay paramedics, cops, army, navy, air force, firies, hair dresses etc. etc.

It might come as a surprise that we actually have skills and people are more than who they sleep with.

The Noongar are an Indigenous Australian people who live in the south-west corner of Western Australia, from Geraldton on the west coast to Esperance on the south coast.

Next you'll be asking for a straight parade.

Straight people can have a parade when they can't get married, are disowned for being straight and have issues at work because of being straight.

Until then - move out of the way of the parade for 1 day and be thankful that you don't have the issues that glbtqi people do!

As for what discrimination - we don't have formal relationship recognition, schools can still expel students for being glbtqi.

Australia might not put us to death, but it still has some way to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the conservatives on here wanted to see gays put to death.

Bobby, for example, is always going on about public hangings.

I think he'd like to see all gays well hung.

Unless they were muff diving or poo pushing at school, I find it hard to believe they were expelled for just being gay. What issues do gay people at work have? I know they can't get married, but they have every right other than that that straight people have.
