Straight people muff dive and push poo too, Misty.

You're stereotyping, again.

What issues do gay people at work have?

I know they can't get married, but they have every right other than that that straight people have.

thats true.
us striaghts have the right to be whiney , selfish sooks just like the gays.
we just choose not to exercise it

Yea  right, there couldn't be any gay workers like policeman, fireman, ambos or teachers nurses or journos, or politicians or even PMs could there, banned sad sock member?

Or soldiers, sailors and air force persons....

Yeah, I do hope it's a 'walk-in' sized closet...Good on Penny Wong for standing up to be counted...THIS TIME. Where was she when Gillard changed the wording of the Marriage Act??

In the party room arguing her case

But as with both parties once the decision has been made unity takes over.

Whats more productive?

Being inside the tent having your arguments heard

or being outside shouting & being ignored???

This line of where was Penny has been a diversion for years.

And here's what the Liberal parties favourite Labor man has to say about it.

skip to 4.53 if you cant be bothered watching the whole lot.

Granted, but she still could have said that she personally disagreed with the decision, but accept the party ruling.

Off topic, but are you from WA? I ask because I have never heard that term since I was a kid in WA. My dad was fond of it.

The Noongar are an Indigenous Australian people who live in the south-west corner of Western Australia, from Geraldton on the west coast to Esperance on the south coast.

I know, I'm from WA, but it was also used as a term to call people stupid when I was young, which is why I think it's only in WA that I have heard it used like that.

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/schools-defend-right-to-expel-gays-20130706-2pirh.html

A bid to overturn controversial laws allowing private schools to expel students simply because they are gay has been rejected by some faith-based schools as a threat to their religious freedom.

Independent Sydney MP Alex Greenwich will soon introduce a private member's bill to State Parliament to abolish the law, which he says could be used against highly vulnerable teenagers.

''It is already so hard to come to grips with your sexuality,'' said Mr Greenwich, who is gay.
Alex Greenwich MP.

Vulnerable age: Alex Greenwich at high school.
''If students do reach out to a teacher they believe is supportive or a headmaster or counsellor or school chaplain, they could risk expulsion from a school.''

Really?  OK.

I've never heard of it used like that before.

I'll lived in WA for a few years now, and I've only ever heard it used to describe the local indigenous folk (they use it to describe themselves too).

You learn something every day.
