Unplug man.
With the weight of the world on your shoulders, there's no capacity left to take on the burden of making your locale a better place.
bugger thinking globally, just act locally.
'Look after number one, first, foremost and always'.
Yes, it's coming to that, I think.
I guess you could read it like that if you were a hermit.
Armies from Greek and roman times were always organised around a section of 10 men who cared very deeply about each other, a platoon of about 30 who were very loyal to each other and a company unit of about 100 who new they could rely on each other.
Units bigger than that simply don't work.
Stories of army divisions stealing each others equipment are totally standard.
An average wedding or 21st, usually about 100 people. More than this and the care factor drops off.
Honk is right, people who profess to care about a mudslide in Bolivia are not wired in correctly, they don't care at all. They care about the perception of caring. It's little different to leftards who love the reffos or the aborigines but would never think of going and including a reffo or aborigine in THEIR 100 let alone their 30 and never in their 10
It's why I hate people like Sarah Hansen dung,
I cannot tolerate fools
