and no... if I was that guy I wouldn't have been expecting some utter knucklehead to be belting up the inside of the car when traffic was stopped...

I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but then I realised that she was in a marked cycle lane. He should have checked or at the very least the taxi driver should have checked the mirrors and warned the passenger to not open the doors.

Um, Blue....

She was in a MARKED CYCLE LANE.

She broke NO LAW.

I know this woman through us both being members of another forum, and
she is not an idiot or a law-breaker.

If you want to cast blame (apart from the obvious, the passenger), why not
take a swipe at the idiocy of inadequate bike-lanes, and at those drivers who
(like you, apparently) seem to think that they have more right to be on the
road than cyclists.?

Because they don't.

Really?

In the interview I saw, it was expressly stated that it was a bike lane.

Yes REALLY!   Well go check your interview again..Then ring the council and tell them their wrong  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

OK, a follow-up reveals the guy I watched correcting that.

Fair enough.

But the passenger still broke the law, and, as filtering up the left is LEGAL for a
bicycle (bike lane or no), the woman did not.

3. to all the anti cyclist car drivers, lets be clear, you own a car, you don't own the road

4. we all pay tax, so we all contribute to the roads

5. did you see how effing fat those slobs were....sweet mother of jesus they could do with a good dose of hardship.

I'm ok with that. Oh, and skirting up the inside of a taxi in the cbd sort of screams accident waiting to happen to me, granted it is a legal action, not much point being in the right and ending up staring at the ceiling of the Emergency dept.

My sentiments exactly.

These Leftwing trendies shouldn't be riding bicycles in urban areas any more than should people be riding skateboards in between the cars at stop-lights, and in city traffic.

As much as I can, I ride my electric bike on the pavements to keep well away from annoying the car drivers.  Cool

(Electric-bike riders are Rightwing dudes).

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Why is it that our resident red-necks hate cyclists so much ?

Is liking or hating bicycling split on political lines like climate change science ?

Or do rightards have so much hate inside them, they have plenty to share around ?

Because they dress up in their poxy outfits and ride on roads they don't need to be on.

Because you give them heaps of room (bike lanes) and they just have to ride on the smacking line.

They ride in large groups and think they own the road.

Because they pay no registration (they own cars blaa blaa blaa who cares)

Then they meet at the local cafe for breakfast in their stupid clothes and their stupid shoes.

Bloody hell i hate 'em.
