It's quite common. It could happen to any of us.

Mr Thomson has always proclaimed his innocence in this matter, and I think we should do the honourable thing and give him the benefit of the doubt. Anything else is just a witch hunt against a man who selflessly served workers and his community for most of his adult life.

Until Mr Thomson is proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, I think we should take him at his word. He is a good man, a kind and helpful man who has devoted his life to helping those most in need.

Unlike that awful Arthur Sinodinos. That man has corruption written all over him. It's as plain as the nose on his face.

Ahh, a court of law HAS found him GUILTY! Three months is totally inadequate. Three years would be more like it.

If he was truly guilty, I would have no problem with a life sentence for such a heinous crime.

But he is not guilty. Far from it. Mr Thomson has declared his innocence, and without further evidence, I think we should all put the matter to rest.

This man's detractors have had years to make their case - and still they come up with nothing.

Edit your post immediately. There is no guilt here until proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Moderators, I expect you to obey the law and enforce this, thanks. We wouldn't want any legal difficulties, now would we?

Marc Bolano and Kathy Jackson on ABC news again, seemingly for hours. Kathy has stolen much more than what Thomson got convicted for—add a ‘0’ to the amount. Jackson’s ex–husband visited brothels frequently—on the HUS credit card. I doubt the HSU will launch any further action—they have made an example of Thomson and they certainly don’t want anymore investigation into the HSU.

This has been a political investigation—a FWA investigation supposedly into the HSU that somehow became an investigation into just Thomson, a report so bad they only released it under Parliamentary privilege for fear of being sued if they just published it.

None of the MSM have done any digging of their own in this case.

Today the salivating by the Lib apologists here was obscene.
