Dear Dorothy,

My husband won't do his own washing and ironing.  What should I do?

No, my hands and et cetera are free and in good working order.  I just have this idea that I am being used. Is this normal?

Dear Exasperated Housewife,

You should do his washing and ironing for him because that is your place in the relationship to provide this among other services as he is out everyday working his hands to the bone to feed you and the children.

The least you can do is wash and iron.

Maybe you need to sit down quietly and list all the things you are grateful for that your husband has provided for you. Think of all the poor people in the world who would love to be able to wash and iron for their husband instead of working the field and carry water 20 miles a day.

Be grateful and move those hips when you wash and iron to put on a bit of a show for him while your at it wot.

Thank you so much for your advice.  We have no children, as yet. Originally "we" tried every other night, now it is down to once a month.  Is this normal?

Listen to Sprint... he's right

Do everything he wants when he wants it. Then anticipate every want. Expect and relish a good backhand when you get it wrong. Your happiness is directly related to how happy you make him

Your life's purpose will be fulfilled.

Then you can come over and do my washing and ironing. I have no-one to care for me Cry

Dear Exasperated Housewife,

First buy a washing machine so he doesn't have to "do his own washing" ~ and then buy shirts and trousers for him that are Perma-Press and don't need ironing.

Signed,

Dorothy Dix.

Make him a big lovely dinner with all the trimmings. Pour him glass after glass of his favourite tipple and when he's sitting there all sated and sedate, get a razor blade and draw it firmly and surely across his throat.

End of the ironing issue.... no catholic/divorce conflict.

Well HERE it is ...

This should settle the matter of who is at fault here.

The PERFECT housewiff of the 1930's was the perfect housewiff ever, period.

Und so!

Do the test, Nefertiti ... and get back to us with the honest results.
