While Operation Sovereign Idiocy is patrolling our NW waters, ASs are coming in on container ships.

Container ships are usually not unauthorised boats

So have any illegals entered the country by travelling inside containers to get here, or is this just another ABC article based on their bias, and which the weak minded on this forum are happy to post for want of something more substantial and real to worry about?

Wonder how long it'll take before the(ir) ABC will work out that this is now a non issue.

Just have to empty out the legacy of camps all thanks to Rudd and Dullard, and this lamentable period of our history will be assigned to the bulging file of 'Labor F...Ups'.

I really think we're better off without them, Sir George of the Mashed Potatoes.

Much better off without them.

Of course the smugglers are adapting - because there is still a market. Thats the problem with OSB - it doesn't deal with the market. People don't magically stop fleeing persecution because our navy blocks boats trying to get to our shores. And while the market remains, the trade will remain - in one form or another.

If they travel by submarine, it doesn't make them any less "illegal".

If they are asylum seekers, they are not illegal.

It is not illegal to seek asylum.

I don’t think any have come into the country in a container yet, but how long before it happens?

Imagine the desperation that would drive people to go into a container, have it locked on them, processed, shipped, unloaded, perhaps put in the middle of a pile of containers and you wait in the dark, hoping your food and water don’t run out before the container is opened, living in the smell of your own waste.

Couldn’t pay me to do it!

Overstaying a Visa is a totally different issue. Any 'illegal' who comes by plane is turned around at the airport and 'towed back' via air  Grin Grin
