from the silence I must consider that all the supporters of the govt of Newman.. DON'T VOTE.

What fheads...  you have the audacity to come on here and spray it around, when you don't even bother to vote.  Perhaps there are reasons why..Hmm?  Don't want to be on the Electoral Roll, perhaps?

Dishonest could be the word. Just like Newman .

Flock together don't you..?  Birds of a Feather. Tongue

No I didn't say that.
I said 'from the silence I must consider that all the supporters of the govt of Newman.. DON'T VOTE'.

Why?  'Cos no-one else had anything to say. Grin

Try reading with comprehension.

Obviously if you don't vote you are not , as such, a supporter.  Roll Eyes

But, what I said?  Birds of a Feather flock together..??  that means I think you exist on the same ethical level as , say , Newman and cronies.

You are simply,  a similar type of bird.  You may not participate , up front,  by voting, but you have no problems offering your opinion, when it is, in fact, irrelevant.

Well, you are welcome to your opinions.  But don't expect to go unchallenged. Fair enough?

just seen again an LNP advert (seen inumerable times before) claiming QLD is 'on track' and leading the nation in economic goodies.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Tongue

Its the one which ends with the warning that nothing can be certain in these times ..so vote for us 'cos WE  are leading the country.  What a pile of rubbish propaganda.

I just had to write this.. 'cos it irks me that no-one seems to care that the LNP are spending so much money on LIES, to get your vote.   LIES ..yep.. that's right people.  Angry

Lies that many ignorant and/or self-interested  Qlders will embrace.
Totally sickening.  Tongue Tongue

well I'd have to say that was a masterful comment  - just a bit too enigmatic 'cos I don't get your reference.
I wasn't very interested in politics in 1983. Care to expand on  it?

The 1983 election was contested when Australia had double-digit unemployment, double-digit inflation, double-digit interest rates and Australia was still emerging from the worst recession since the Great Depression. Bob Hawke summed it up best during the campaign when he said "We're not waiting for the world. The world has left us far behind."

Being loose with the truth is something the Liberals do rather often in campaigns.

There are 2 chances of Unemployment levels going down, over the next few years.

That pertains, not just in Queensland, but pretty much Globally and those chances are -
1) None
2) Bukley's

In fact, the major Factors driving the Global & Local Economies would suggest it is very likely that Unemployment is set to spike higher!

So, if any Politician suggests otherwise, you can safely "THROW THAT PROMISE" in the "PORKIES BIN"!!!

That is an issue which is gonna bite against Newmann big time.  Having said that......it seems like it is a "manana" election at the moment.  Nothing is happening.  PUP has nothing on TV even though there have been effective enough media interviews.  No shots from anywhere apart from a fizzer ad on TV from the Libs.  No-one wants to rock the boat at the moment.  Probably a good idea for Newmann, but it cannot last.

I saw two ads from PUP. I only remember the one where Gillard, Rudd, Abbott and other pollies saying 'Clive' or  'Palmer" the rest of the clip is erased. At the end he says something like the name on everybody's lips blah blah blah.....it's quite catchy...well! it shows he's still got the humour gene.
