To listen to the losing LNP members.. we just didn't understand their message. ( tell ya guys we understood perfectly well)

The Filth Flegg tried to explain why with such a huge majority meant ignorant newbies who hadn't a clue.. they were Newman's cronies and did wrong things . GASP.

Never let it be said the LNP take responsibility for their abysmal govt. Nor do they regret their arrogance.

The best description of the FORMER NEWMAN GOVT. ??

No better than a bunch of schoolyard bullies.

Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish.!!!!!!!!!

Not schoolyard bullies at all.
Just responsible adults who told you you have to eat your broccoli and you cant just skip straight to dessert.
of course, sooks like yourself and pansi with no self discipline think that you can just have your dessert and you cry like a baby when you have to do something a bit difficult (like pay back a bit of debt and actually put your shoulder to the wheel and sweat).

But the day of reckoning is coming for the Emma's and pansi's.
It may not come for them , but it will come for their children and grandchildren as the state is taken over by Asian bankers who would be just loving the idea of labor further mortgaging the state.
It inter generational theft by pansi and emma so they can live like the queen and their grandchildren will have to sort this mess out.

What disgraceful people you are.
You should be ashamed  Angry Angry

Are you for REAL.???  Nah  asscootie  ...  we are not disgraceful people at all.

Such polarisation of the electorate !!.. what an ELECTION.!!! Smiley

THE PEOPLE have spoken,, and they don't want bullies with personal agendas.  That should be clear, even to such as you.

BOTR—juvenile romanticism. There will be no revolution in Australia. There wasn’t even one in Greece.

Not a real revolution George, a people's revolution. Like this:

"A civil uprising popularly known as the Kitchenware Revolution brought down the Icelandic government after the collapse of the country's financial system in October 2008."

or

"2011–12 Spanish protests"

It wasn't the people that brought on the GFC and they've had enough of paying for it. The people of Greece said no more austerity, the people of other countries that have been affected by the GFC will do the same.

The people v the oligarchy......call it what you want.

We will do it at the next federal election.....no more squeezing the bottom rung of society, redistribute the wealth and the debt will be paid with less suffering to the minions. The money is there, it's just a matter of getting it from the right people/corporations.

you are beyond belief.

The people of Greece will do exactly what Angela Merkel of Germany tells them to do.
She OWNS them because, like you and your big spending ilk, they got themselves into debt.

And Angela Merkel and the german government aint got nothing on what the Peoples Republic of China are gunna do to your sorry ass when they come a knocking for the repayments.

There wont be any money of course in your socialist republic of bludgers, so they'll just take the assets

power
water
farmland
beaches
real estate
businesses.

Intergenerational theft by pansi and emma and the lazy layabout socialist protestors, so that their grandchildren can be the white trash of asia, cleaning the dunnies at the chinese restaurant.
being "comfort women " for rich Asian businessmen.

LNP sells assets because that is the neocon belief.

Please don’t throw the blame onto the ordinary people of Australia. It is the LNP and its spivs and shonk hangers on are responsible for asset sales. All these damn asset sales mean the govt has a lot less revenue! the Howard privatisation of Telstra was the height of stupidity, but the Rodent wanted more money to hand out as pork!

Good propaganda, Comrade. Just don't tell anyone that Keating privatised Aerospace Technologies of Australia, Australian Industry Development Corporation, AUSSAT,  Australian Airlines, Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, the Commonwealth Bank, Moomba-Sydney Pipeline, Qantas and the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation. Let's also not mention that under Bligh Queensland Motorways Limited (Operating the Gateway Bridge and Logan Motorway tolling systems), the Port of Brisbane Authority, Forestry Plantations Queensland, Abbot Point Coal Terminal, and Coal-carrying rail lines were privatised. This is progress.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

when one saw that his main interests were French Antiques and Italian Suits, one always suspected he was a liberal mole in the labor party.

when one sees the Jesuit priest with big spending social programs like PPL and NDIS in liberal party, one can also assume he is a mole.

interesting that the ONLY bit of legislation Abbot has passed is a 2% tax slug on high income earners.

double agents Cheesy Cheesy

No, you should be ashamed of peddling such simplistic nonsense!

We have a sovereign currency so we won’t be in the situation Greece is in either. If Greece leaves the Eurozone nobody will stop them then the can inflate and pay their bills.

Any similarity with Greece is this: both had rightwing govts before the GFC, govts that encouraged a real estate boom. The govt here used the boom revenue, and a boom is always temporary, to build into the Budget recurring spending on middleclass welfare and tax cuts ans did NOTHING to improve the ongoing regular economy. The extra spending, that Labor managed to reduce from minority govt, needs to be completely removed and spending the NBN needs to be stepped up.

We can cut $60Bn from the Budget—when is the Abbott led govt going to do that? Why are they going after pennies and trying to destroy education?

Your “heroes” Howard & Costello built in so many tax cuts and so much middleclass welfare that until that is removed no govt can do other than run a huge deficit in other than boom times! THAT is the reality any govt faces. This present shambles has just made things worse!

good comeback George.  food for thought.  the pain does need to be shared , you are right.

the problem is, that no one is willing to accept even a tiny drop of pain.

its the patriotic duty of all Australians to suck it up and stop asking for more.

you know when the GFC hit south korea, people took their jewelry to the parliament and gave it up to be melted down to help out the treasuary.
When Australian citizens reach that level of commitment, we will have won the battle. at the moment, its all sloth, turpor, greed and NIMBY.

Hopeless.

and don't deny that the left side of politics, the international socialists, undermine patriotism all the time.
they hate the flag, they hate their own suburban backyard BBQ culture.  why would your average aussie battler feel patriotic duty towards people like the greens who continually call them racist scum. Angry

Point is, aqua, the pain is NOT being shared out equally. That is both why the debt is growing and why Abbott is so despised—an obvious attack on the less welloff with zero real pain for those on high income.

2% temporary levy, well semaphored so those that would be effected can take out more super or whatever to not have to pay it versus PERMANENTLY throwing young unemployed people off any support? And you wonder why monkey is unpopular?

And also that many of their measures are ideological and not really directed to addressing the budget bottom line. The $8 medicare co-payment is a prime example. The money from this proposal will not go to paying off the debt but to setting up a medical research fund (corporate welfare for the pharmaceuticals). Its clearly ideological as are the education proposals designed to destroy universal access to education.  Time these bastards were kicked off the public purse.  We cant continue paying for representatives whose mission in life is to cheat us at every turn for their mates.

Yes, have to admit the co payment medical fund was total BS.
re the "throwing open of the uni's to all and sundry"
Is this the way to go?

I hear one third of new teaching grads this year wont get a job.
similar for nurses.
and a new dental school in north Qld has flooded the market with dentists who will be driving cabs.

Sure educations fine but a sensible bit of planning wouldn't go astray. as it is Unis will just sign up every cash paying student they can

No, indeed, they'll make it worse.
Every Vice Chancellor in the country will be offering Medical Degrees.

Actually Pynes proposals are a disaster for farmers.
The vet degrees will all move to the rich city uni's and we'll have lots of vets who want to desex dogs and overservice cat owners.

And the regional centres will have No Vet schools and every farmer will end up having to treat his own "large animals"
This is almost the case now. The young grads don't want to be mucking around with brahman bulls when they can make $1000 pinning the leg of someones pet canary

Its the case in just about every key area the country needs. Again though thats not the fault of the unis, but graduates who just want jobs in the cities.
