nooo. historians agree that A Jesus existed, no one can yet prove that it was the Jesus from the bible. Why drag every other historical figure into it. If the evidence is there simply prove it and leave attila the hun and everyone else out of it!

You can go to almost any historical reference both current and ancient and they also record the existed of Jesus of Nazereth the One who claimed to be God.  That is actually indisputable except in small argumentative minds.

This entire debate is about demonstrating just how tiny some of you are. Greg is obviously just trolling, but the fact that any of the rest of you accept it is a sad indictment of whatever passed for your education, both formal and informal.

oh goody ... you're back ... perhaps you will tonight share with us what you found to prove that 'His existence is beyond doubt. There is far more evidence for Jesus' existence than most figures of antiquity'

So you made a sock accusation on the fact that you can not read what is right in front of you

it wasn't in front of me ... thats the whole problem ... You said you made a claim in the beginning ... you made no such claim in the first two pages and I couldn't remember reading any such claim from you since .. I had a busy day .... if you think I was going to go and and re read every comment for 11 pages you are dreaming.

My comment is in fact from page 2.

So you were wrong that I didn't make the claim. I don't expect you to "re read every comment for 11 pages". But if you are going to accuse someone of using a sock it wouldn't hurt to check your facts, as opposed to just saying "I had a busy day" so I made false accusation and your dreaming if you think I would bother to make sure.

Greggery was the one who threw the baby out with the bathwater right at the start. He made the claim Jesus never existed. Yet all mainstream historians accept that the Jesus of the Bible was a real person

do they? I've actually spoken to a friend who is a historian about this, on many occassions, and this particular historian has a father who happens to be a biblical scholar back in Poland so he knows his subject matter, and even he disagrees  ... I guess you are either lying when you say all historians agree or you made it up ...

Quantum wrote on Apr 2nd, 2014 at 1:31pm:
History books record a Jesus of Nazareth

Grin Grin Grin Grin

do they? or do history books simply record what the church has been telling us for the last 2000 odd years?

So you have taken the Spot line of reasoning (yes he tried something like this a couple of pages back) that historians are just keeping the Jesus lie going without checking their facts.

You spoke to a historian friend? Wow. I wonder if I was to say I have a historian friend (and I actually have a few) who says you are wrong, how much weight that would add to the conversation? Probably zero, which is how much the word of your friend carries on an Internet forum.

Dr Who eh?  Nothing wrong with that, bit of a fan myself, though I was surprised that peccerhead claims he was employed by the Oz government.  I thought him to be unemployed.

greggerypeccary didn't claim to be employed by the government: grrreg did.

LOL, the idiot posting as yourself here on this forum took umbrage with Sorens accusation that you were fapping about a book you have never read and the idiot posting as yourself on this forum posted this response,

You and Prickery are fapping each other over a book neither of you have read.

That's you Progs in a nutshell.

I've read it.

Here's my review:

By Amazon Customer "grrreg"

"An oxymoron written by a nice person"

"Conservative values and institutions are what revolutions occur to change. The idea that you can have a revolution to institute conservative thinking and approaches is wrong-headed, shows a possible deliberate disregard for the truth, and is by dictionary definition an oxymoron. And by his words, Cory Bernardi shows he is a simple nice person and undeserving of holding any position of power, elected, appointed or employed."

It certainly raises several questions, doesn't it?

Who is this grrreg fellow?

Is it really me?  It could be.

But then again, if I'm lying ...  Undecided

And while we're at it, what happened to Jazza? (that's a question for Quanty).

Quanty went very quiet when the subject of Jazza was raised.

No I haven't. I had little to say after handing you your arse.

I'm registered as Jazza and post under the name quantum. You will find many people on this forum have a different name in which they post under.

But who is this Greg fellow you ask. Well that is you! Well at least according to you it is you. One more time for a new page,

I'm grrreg.  I'm greggerypeccary.  I'm Julia Gillard.

Nothing. You will find many members on this forum have a different user name to the one registered. Not sure why you find that so hard to understand.

But the good news is you have now come clean;

Good to see bobby has found a new boyfriend.

It is amazing how someone who talks about "reaming arses" whilst posting old artworks of people being tortured on spikes up the backend, would now complain about language. Especially when the only word I used was arse. This "foul" word is not even censored, yet poor bobby just can't deal with it.

Poor bobby.
