He actually went as far as saying "His existence is beyond doubt."

Beyond doubt.

He then followed it up with "There is far more evidence for Jesus' existence than most figures of antiquity."

This has been a wonderful day.  Thank you B&B and Quanty.

If I qualify it with REASONABLE doubt does that help your  nit-picking soul and give it any peace? Because it changes nothing.  And you are still utterly unable to mount a challenge.

There are precisely 7 copies of Platos works yet you grant him unquestioned right of existence. yet there are 5000 original manuscripts of the Gospels of Jesus and that is not enough?

You simply cannot generate and adequate argument. It is rather pitiful.

Yeah, I know!  Pretty gullible, huh?   Roll Eyes

His existence is beyond doubt. There is far more evidence for Jesus' existence than most figures of antiquity.  But feel free to cling to your delusion if you must.

ohh, I can't wait ... please share this evidence?

Show me the proof of Plato's existence and you are on. But remember that any of his writings and those of his contemporaries are all 'lies' and will not be accepted as evidence. I am just pre-empting the usual tactics.

I await your brilliance and I say that with all the irony I can muster.

I've never claimed Plato existed ... that was Quantum, ask him for proof. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Now show me all this evidnece you claimed existed.

I set you a challenge that you decline to accept. I feel no compulsion to accept yours either. If you do not answer my question I do not answer yours.

Why would I prove a claim I didn't make? I don't know if Plato existed, I've never looked into him ...

you however claimed to have plenty of evidence that Jesus existed ... in fact you claimed his existence was beyond a doubt ... now either put up or admit you are full of crap. ....

The irony is just wonderful.

I won't be letting Quantum forget this one for a long time.

(I may write a review about it, on Amazon.com)

Nice try, but it is I that won't be letting you forget about this.

You are like a school kid who has been busted and now can't wipe the grin off his face because he is embarrassed.

You said you don't write book reviews for amazon. Yet I quoted another post where you not only claim to, but actually gave your user name for amazon proving that you do.

You claimed that you don't work for the government. Yet in your amazon account it says you work for the government.

Spin it all you want, but you're a liar one way or the other, and you have been caught.

You honestly believe that my surname is Peccary, don't you?

I bet you think my first name is Greg too.

You're one in a million.

(If it's on the internet, it must be true)   Grin

I'm going to enjoy reminding you of this day.

Like I said, when you can do yours, I will follow.  It is kinda fun watching you jump about and make no statement of any substance.

You don't get the slightest hint of how to debate, do you?  I didn't MAKE a claim. I reiterated a claim that has been made for 2000 years.  If you want to dispute it then go right ahead - with evidence. If you don't want to then go to the sidelines with the rest of the uneducated clowns.

I don't have to do a thing: I'm not claiming that some 'thing' existed.

We're all just sitting back waiting for you to prove "beyond doubt" that JC existed.

You're failing, miserably, by the way.

The absence of evidence is not evidence. why is this difficult to understand.

In a legal situation where innocence is assumed, 'absence of evidence; is in fact, evidence.

IN a debate such as this one, the significant long-held assumption from history etc is that Jesus existed and is an assumption that has been held since the first century. It is not a recent thing. The onus is therefore on the 'prosecution' to establish otherwise and the absence of evidence is in fact, evidence.

It is not that hard.

Assumptions, lol: alright people this looks like one nightmare crack smoking session coming your way and we all hate the nightmare crack smoking sessions looking at gumtree for hours on end playing no music and trying not to annoy psycho aka your mate who's lost his friggin mind, dignity and ability to stop turning it up!  Roll Eyes

That's correct.

Well done, you.

I suspect that you had never even heard of Frank Zappa until you googled my name (it is my real name, by the way).

"Zappa gave Greggery Peccary his name as a pun on the name of actor Gregory Peck and Pope Gregory XIII who introduced the Gregorian calendar."

Yes, it is called the restating of a well established fact of history. It is not 'making a claim'.  Try using words with a degree of precision and the world makes a lot more sense.
