how long they queue to get food?

Take it up with where I got my information, the Amnesty international report on Manus Island.

Quote:
The dining facilities are too small for all detainees to sit at once; they queue for their meals,
sometimes for hours, in the blistering sun and the frequent downpours, with no protection
from the elements

Quote:
IHMS acknowledged that people may miss appointments due to long queues for meals,
meaning people have to make the choice to go to their appointment or to eat. Some people
have fainted from heat stroke in the meal line.

I apologise, it does not specifically say three hours, however, is does say hours.

I'm not sure on the data.  i'm assuming you are saying this to try and pretend it is safe for men in PNG, when this is not the case either (although it is much safer for men than women there)

You expect Amnesty International - a vocal critic of any anti-illegal immigrant policy - to publish a factual report clear of bias? Too funny!!!  Grin Grin Grin

Perhaps they know it's only time until Abbott murders more in his concentration camps.

Ummm, the ALP set up Manus Island, not Abbott...

It is Abbott's watch that he is murdering the refugees.

Part of abbott's plan is to make Australia worse than the regime these people are escaping.

that's libel

Yes, it makes a mockery of their claim that they're fleeing in fear for their lives. If so, they wouldn't return voluntarily no matter what!

The current "options" involve staying in a camp in horrendous conditions where someone was recently murdered, or being settled in a country where 75% of women are sexually abused and half of all women have been victims of rape.

Any of these are perfectly valid reasons to seek asylum, and does not demonstrate they didn't have genuine claims to asylum.

Yet, in our haven, seems the Muslim women still obey their master-bullies, have their girls  "cut" and marry old paedophiles while still children

woody  Quote:
When it rains, the camp smells strongly of sewage, particularly in Foxtrot Compound and near
the entrance to the detention centre. Some detainees expressed concern at not having shoes
or umbrellas, particularly when the weather is bad and it rains.
Water in Oscar Compound is now provided in 19-litre water cooler bottles located in the gym.
Two such bottles, nearly empty, stood on a table next to some plastic cups when we toured
the area. The coolers themselves had been removed.
We heard frequent complaints that the quantity of water provided in Oscar Compound was
insufficient. G4S and TSA staff reported delivering up to 12 water cooler bottles per day to
the compound, but some staff acknowledged that delays in replacing empty bottles were a
problem. A stock of new water bottles stood nearby on a palette in a fenced-off area behind
one of the buildings, but detainees do not have access to this area and said they were not
allowed to move the water bottles themselves.
In other compounds, drinking water is provided in individual 500ml bottles. Detainees in
those compounds appear to have no restrictions on the amount of water they have access to.

maybe they should go home ?

Ad hominem.  Lazy

Also lazy as you didn't answer my previous question:  Can you find a single report into these facilities that praises them?

A new low for AP.  Who knew that he could actually go this low?

He went through the article, and changed every reference to 'asylum seekers' to 'illegal immigrants'.

What sort of person does such a thing? Seriously?

His "argument" is so weak, that he has to resort to this sort of childish, fraudulent behaviour.

Asylum seekers are not illegal immigrants (they are two completely different things), yet not only does this clown not have the intelligence to understand such a simple fact, he also decides to alter a public news story to serve his own evil purpose.

I'm sure the newspaper involved would love to hear about the frudulent practices of our demented AP.

I had to go check, as the claim is incredible....but yes ~ you are totally correct.

There should be some Rule and serious sanction for that sort of  dishonesty.

The researchers say the comparison period of before and after Operation Sovereign Borders used by Mr Morrison misses the point, "because this trend began back in July and there is no sign that the election of the Abbott Coalition Government has had any impact on arrivals whatsoever".

So Rudd murdered the illegal country shopper! I knew it, the little racist wanted all poor brown people to rot in PNG.

Hard to believe that someone would stoop that low.

He had no argument to begin with and then, he went and added insult to injury by changing the words of the Daily Telegraph's Political Editor - Simon Benson.

All of AP's post must now be treated with extreme scepticism, even if he provides a credible link.

The "man" has proven himself to be a fraudster.

It actually shouldn't need a Rule, it simply should not occur. That said, the most basic benchmark should be the actual author of the article deserves a right of reply.... This has been facilitated should the author choose to take it up...

Hard to believe idiots like you can defend the policy of the previous Labor government on this issue. Heh, it's hilarious. From no boats to more than 750 in less than 6 years... along with at least 1,500 dead all on Labor's watch while they let 60,000+ country shopping illegal immigrants arrive. Appalling. Simply appalling.
