France edges closer to reclaiming its heritage.
Apr 5th, 2014 at 3:08pm

National Front leader Marine Le Pen said on Friday it would prevent schools from offering non-pork alternatives to Muslim pupils in the 11 towns it won in local elections, saying such arrangements were contrary to France's secular values.

France's republic has a strict secular tradition enforceable by law, but faith-related demands have risen in recent years, especially from the country's five-million-strong Muslim minority, the largest in Europe.

'We will not accept any religious demands in school menus,' Le Pen told RTL radio. 'There is no reason for religion to enter the public sphere, that's the law.'

Please note: 'THAT'S THE LAW'

Former president Nicolas Sarkozy then waded into the row suggesting that meat should be labelled to tell consumers how the animal was slaughtered, which Jews and Muslims reject because they fear it will lead to them being stigmatized.

Hello? ... hello?

Isn't this an admission of cruelty to the animals?

Of course it is. Why else would they have to fear being stigmatised?

link

Islamisation-by-stealth is what's being addressed here ~ as well as reversing the luvvie's having waived the law to ingratiate with the Muslims to win their 5 million votes.

I don't mind a ham and cheese croissant every now and then but I am not a big fan of pork.....Some people don't even eat meat at all because they like vegetarian.....The French also eat horse meat snails and frogs legs which I would also avoid.....I have no problem if pork is on the menu as long as it is not the only thing on offer.....If this is claiming back any kind of heritage then the French don't have much to be proud of do they.....No wonder their country keeps getting invaded and losing wars!!!

This Le Pen party doesn't want the gap between Us and Them to keep growing ever wider due to endless government concessions to Muslim tradition and cultural sensitivities, and the whole reason for a secular public school system has been to unite the children of different races and cultural backgrounds to the common denominator of French mono-culturalism.

But even so, I think it's a bit spiteful that the parents of Muslim kids are not allowed to pack a halal lunch for them on this one day of the school week when pork is served.

That seems unnecessarily vindictive to me.

I would still vote for them, but.  Tongue

5 million Muslims can make more than a little indent upon your ancestral national culture.

Quote:
This prison is majority Muslim — as is virtually every house of incarceration in France. About 60 to 70 percent of all inmates in the country’s prison system are Muslim, according to Muslim leaders, sociologists and researchers, though Muslims make up only about 12 percent of the country’s population.

On a continent where immigrants and the children of immigrants are disproportionately represented in almost every prison system, the French figures are the most marked, according to researchers, criminologists and Muslim leaders.

“The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of the integration of minorities in France,” said Moussa Khedimellah, a sociologist who has spent several years conducting research on Muslims in the French penal system.

(It's NOT the fault of the Muslims ~ you FOOLS! It's SOCIETY that makes them commit crime! The Muslims in France's jails are the VICTIMS, you BASTARDS! ~)

*****

Quote:
In Britain, 11 percent of prisoners are Muslim in contrast to about 3 percent of all inhabitants, according to the Justice Ministry. Research by the Open Society Institute, an advocacy organization, shows that in the Netherlands 20 percent of adult prisoners and 26 percent of all juvenile offenders are Muslim; the country is about 5.5 percent Muslim. In Belgium, Muslims from Morocco and Turkey make up at least 16 percent of the prison population, compared with 2 percent of the general populace, the research found.

Horrific figures! ~ and meanwhile the politicians are STILL ignoring the elephant in the room.

No idea.

A school lunch-box is just a small plastic box that can sit on a small child's knee.

It really is no big deal.

isn't it up to the school to decide what it feeds it's kids? If they want to feed non-pork, what are these ultra right loons doing stopping them?

we know take away shops in certain parts of Sydney put Hala on their menus. this we know is a business move...

however..to me this is the thin end of the wedge...see the words FAITH RELATED DEMANDS HAVE RISEN..
I find it hard to believe schools in France only sell pork related food...

Muslims attending the German Islam Conference were apparently offended by the insinuation that Islam could be radical or violent.

A major conference on German-Muslim relations has ended in failure after Muslims attending the event refused to acknowledge the government's concerns about the threats to security posed by radical Islam.

German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich had wanted the eighth annual German Islam Conference, held in Berlin on May 7, to focus on finding ways the government could work together with "moderate" Muslims in Germany to combat Islamism and extremism.

But Muslims attending the gathering were apparently offended by the insinuation that Islam could be radical or violent, and demanded instead that the German government take steps to make "Islam equal to Christianity" in Germany.
