It looks like Cameron and Abbott are close to  opening the doors up between us at last...I doubt if you young people remember but the clowns in the Uk around the mid 60's decided that they had to close the doors so Australia said "Fair Dinkum"...well so are we.....

He must have the eloquence and the maturity of a Pat Condell. Someone who can speak in reasonable and commonsense terms with a minimum of ideological rhetoric.

We have these people in abundance as professional commentators in the media ~ but never any in politics.

Brian is not so much a 'lefty' as a career-troll whose specialty is trying to undermine anyone who speaks out against the ideology of political correctness - which demands that immigrant cultures, religions and traditions are to be regarded as just as sacrosanct as those of the host people.

Political correctness abhors the notion that immigrants should assimilate with the host culture, but instead, they should colonise the host country while preserving their alien cultural heritage for all the generations to come.

Political correctness demands of the host people that they must not consider themselves to be in any way of a primary status, or special, or 'senior' within their own ancestral homeland to that of even the most recent immigrant whose race, religion, and inherent culture may be totally alien - and even antagonistic - to the host culture.
