Today ~ Forum Down

Okay.....I'll not ignore the elephant in the room....and I'll bet FD waged plenty on that it would be me to refer to it.  You win, FD.

OzPol was down all day and now, after some normal stuff for about 30 mins, loads with the speed of a thousand rampaging turtles.

Thanks for your feedback Aussie. It's good to know you care.

According to hostgator they were "experiencing packet loss and latency issues that are affecting a subset of customers on our platform".

Siteuptime indicates that the site was down at 5:30am, 6am, 11am, 5pm and 5:30pm (GMT +09:00).

The only time I noticed it down was around lunch time - 12:30pm.

Down every time I tried today, but couldn't say what those times were.

Thought it may have been at my end as they were stuffing around with some of the pits.

As Aussie said, when I connected this time it was lightning fast.
Wish all sites were as fast.

Why blame Freediver if you cannot access OzPol?

Crap Happens!

There seems to be some very sad, old people around these parts who cannot wait to comment about not being able to connect to a Forum. How sad is that?

GET A LIFE away from the computer. Go for a walk around the block or something. You aren't missing out on anything important. Geeze.

Well.......I dunno what that means.....but I'd be quite happy to see how many posts were made here during the course of the day.  From what I have seen, and have been told......OzPol was down for most of the day.

Once again, FD.....I apologise, and am so truly sorry to be such a pain in the arse, but I reckon most of your loyal Members would prefer that you be less of a smart arse and less dismissive about this recurring issue, and actually do something positive to fix it.

That'd be nice.

Cheers, freediver.

Hopefully it encouraged some people to leave the house?

I'd have thought you'd be encouraging active Membership, and doing all you can to enlist some more, rather than bagging those who are here and who contribute much more than that sort of negativity, Andrei.

But, we digress.

I, and I reckon I'm not alone, would like to either see the problem fixed, or be told ~ "That's it, like it or lump it."

That way, we all know where we stand.

When looking at the "recent" section there is a gap between 11am - 5:30pm.
During that time I was unable to access it, checked a few times over those hours and at around 5:30 the site worked and posts started flowing.

Just my observation.

Thanks Vuk, I didn't think of checking that. That's probably the best indicator of how long it was down for.

On the plus side, those of us in Europe weren't inconvenienced at all due to time difference.

Silver linings and all that.
