What should I do?
Apr 20th, 2014 at 11:49am

Am I right to be offended by the following.  This is part of an e.mail sent by a market co-ordinator to stallholders and was forwarded to me by a friend.  I'll not say it is a pack of lies, I admit it is me he is talking about,  but I do believe the truth has been grossly mishandled.

After he did his change around I told him I wouldn't be going to his market for a while but not because of the changes he had made but because I had just had a major operation and needed to slow down a bit.  I had had an e.mail from him saying the size of my site had been cut down and I was fine with this but I was very disappointed there was no offer in his e.mail of a site for my friend who would now need a site of her own.  This person prides himself that all his stallholders are hand-picked and are only allowed at his market if he has invited them.  The cost of the stall site was his call not ours and we had offered a couple of times to pay extra.

The weekend before the following e.mail was sent I went for a walk around the market.  He was chatting to me fine one minute and five minutes later he was in my face having a go at me. For the life of me I have no idea what happened in that five minutes.  I tried to tell him not to worry I wouldn't go to his markets any more but he kept on at me and then I let him know I wasn't happy about him not offering a site to my friend.  I could bite my tongue off for that.

I'll not apologise for his bad spelling and grammar

The book
is open for the 19th
  Embracing Change Big weekend ahead

Bob Proctor one of the worlds best motivators once said the most dangerous person on this planet is a person who can not except change!
How true is this, talking about change I would like to put the record straight, just recently i responded to feedback from a couple of stallholders regarding being in a quite spot due to traffic not venturing down a side path. There was an obvious answer and that was to cut the  side walk off which we did resulting in I am told to a 7 fold increase of business. Unfortunately one person felt that this change reduced there over-sized site to the standard 4m that most enjoy and would mean that there tag-along who has never paid for a sit in over a year would miss out. unfortunately they never thought to ask me what could be done before throwing there hands in the air and bleating to the world. The change was made for the benefit of 4 other stallholders without even a thought about the tag along who could have had one of the spaces made available by the change, but no, BIG BAD xxxx HAS DONE IT AGAIN.
Sorry as always stated I run the market for the benefit of all and not any individual, we value opinions but make sure you have all the fact first.

PS I feel better for getting that off my chest  Smiley

Verily I say unto thee, keepest thine own counsel, oh stallholder, for among us there dewelleth stallmasters who abideth not thy lamentations.

And while those among us who are stallmasters not, yet who knoweth what the fvckst it is of whicheth thou speak,
then surely they are in league with the stallmasters and verily they will givest thou up unto them.

Upsetteth not thineself any further fair maiden Rosie, for it hath been foretold in days of yore by Merlin the Wizard that your stalleth shall increase in size greatly, and verily thou shalt be the envy of the yokels and serfs who have tables in that same place as ye selleth your fine products to the local village folks and His Lordship from the Manor upon the hill.

Deny it not, oh sorceress witch... For thou hath spake of poo and by thine own words doth bear witness to that most satanic of sorceries.

Heed him not, sorceress, for he is no lord of this realm but a common cur.

You're simply going to have to move on. What he said was pretty mild in terms of being 'offensive'.

Look to the future.

This is a very small mole hill compared to what some people have to suffer by way of abuse or criticism from bosses and others.

That makes me feel better.  It sort of upset me because so many people have complained about this controlling bully I was upset when my turn came.  You could say I'm one of the lucky ones as I don't have to go to his markets if I don't want to.  Think I'll put my tongue in my cheek and send him an e.mail to ask if I have been banned from his markets.

It would seem a bit petty if he banned you from the markets, but then some people are petty and enjoy the power of banning people. It only takes one little questioning comment to irritate a control freak. They would cut off their nose to spite their face.
