The Labor Party put in the first order for these planes & from some investigation they were looking very much like a bottomless pit to pour money down .....way behind schedule & with too many faults....

an aeronautical Collins Class lemon.

Huge computer/software problems that could see them just drop out of the sky with a malfunction. Don't know that they can be flown manually.

Now Abbott has come a long & upped the ante by buying more.

Strange ... usually anything the Labour Party instigates he & his cronies put plans in motion to rescind/repeal/throw out.

Very strange purchase indeed gnads...

Especially considering we've only ever had a handful of jets in the past... are we on the brink of war that no one knows about?

Maybe abbott wanted to put some money into the Texas economy. .

It also opens up at least 7 billion dollars of contract work for Australia. ..

The other thing with these fighter jets is that they are a fixed priced purchase and maintenance setup...

And for that idiot that suggested that we should purchase Chinese or Russian jets. Well. He should just hand in his resignation! Angry
