Oz is not, and has never been a nation in the true sense of the word. It has been a protectorate of the USA since the Hitler War, and before that was a UK colony. A nation arises when its people gather and decide their own fate; Oz was legislated into "nationhood" by act of the UK government in order to provide another "independent" vote at international assemblies.

Abbott DOESN'T have "money for planes'. ALL Oz money is borrowed from the USA and the international organs it controls, such as the IMF (Refer Bretton Woods if you disagree).

Abbot has been instructed to buy more flunky JSF's by his USA bosses. Can't argue with that, since they own and control Oz.

Besides, Oz doesn't have a Defence Force, but a Defence Farce that is completely incapable of defending the country, hence the welcomed presence of "foreign" troops on Oz soil.

I'm just wondering if this 12 billion for useless toy planes is not a defacto insurance policy money that we pay the yanks to protect us ?

Australia will buy 58 more F-35 Joint Strike Fighters (JSF) at a cost of more than $12 billion after the Federal Government gave the go ahead for the purchase yesterday.

The extra aircraft will bring Australia's total Joint Strike Fighter force to 72 aircraft, with the first of them to enter service in 2020.

The $12.4 billion price tag makes the Joint Strike Fighters Australia's most expensive Defence asset.

The Government says it will also consider the option of buying another squadron of the next-generation fighter jets to eventually replace the RAAF'S F/A-18 Super Hornets.

Answer: None.

The only foreseeable threat to the lives of Australians are from within our own migrant communities ~ specifically our Muslims.

The billions being spent on these aerial toys that will never see a day's service in a combat zone would be more wisely spent to bribe certain Middle Eastern nations to accept some of our Muslim career criminals and long-term dole-bludgers ... and the ones that ASIO already knows are a threat to public safety.

I'm amazed at this sudden extravagance on the part of the Abbott government after weeks of getting us all used to the idea of retirement at 70, and doctors visits no longer being free.

I have a feeling this purchase may end up in the history books as ... 'Abbott's Folly'.

Maybe Abbott knows something from his Intelligence services that has been kept from the public.

This picture of Abbott shows him sitting in the pilot's seat of an F-35 ... with a bulky rocket-launched ejection seat behind him ...
