Well, I am all-powerful Time which destroys all things, and I have come here to slay these men. Even if thou doest not fight, all the warriors facing thee shall die.  (Krishna from the Bhagavad Gita)

What has happened to SOB anyway? (and please don't reply by saying he was born that way)

he has probably morphed into someone else... thats how I found out what happened to kat...

I have no idea how you find that out...but some folks seem to know an awful lot about others..

so beware what you say...if I mention the s word I will be in all sorts of trouble..

But I didn't morph into anyone.

I just changed my 'nick' to Spanish instead of English.

No, I don't regard it as a 'sock', because it is my real 'nick', not a made-up one or a
bodgy derivative of someone else's (RabbitO8, anyone?). And I don't use it to troll
then revert back to 'Kat' and act all innocent. Nor did I at any stage deny being 'Kat'.

I dont think anyone accused you of anything anyway..

but yes you did change your nic..and at no time did you say.. btw I was kat .....

when I changed mine spell... I said so straight up..a long story why I did...but thats the point...

being identified... as old and not new..

I have noticed that a lot of people especially since they have gone all grand on us....have new names and its hard to tell if they are old new or as you say socks that are pretending to be who they are not..

one of the reasons I didnt recognise you was because there was no abuse.. almost normal conversation...I have always found it very hard to deal with you or shall I say kat... as it was all so nasty.. if someone spoke to me like you would write I would walk away... so thats what I do on the boards..I ask myself would I stay in the same space as this person.....

usually the answer is a BIG No..

but I am finding the new cat almost reasonable... Wink

I like the new changed nicks on the regular members. They've left their original nick in place so you can easily recognise them.

Although Kat is an exception - I like his new nick too. I thought he might have been a new lefty and we can't have too many of them here.

ho hum its got nothing to do with liking...

I think if you have nothing to hide.. let everyone know..not hard and its fair when you think of those that cheat and just change a letter here and there..but are not the same person..

someone hacked someones id and started a thread, as happened wasnt bad... but it could have been..same with almost identical IDs.

just saying thats all.not complaining..

my observations if you like.

Yes, it is a bit of fun seeing some of the Sir, Dame, Lord etc names.   Just a bit of humour that some - as usual - do not get.

George, Herbert, Gandalf, Pansi etc. are all quite obvious. There have been a few people over the years who have changed their nicks completely - probably not to be deceitful, but just hoping for a fresh start.

That's true and these pests are an exception. Most of them aren't hard to recognise though. They immediately target certain members and then their venom spews forth. Fortunately they're zapped fairly quickly.

I didn't think you were complaining. Just giving an opinion as we all are.

Not really, it's the same 'nick' just in Spanish instead of English.

It was just a fun change after I ditched the 'aristocratic' one.

Nothing more, or less sinister than that.

I did once reckon they were okay.  For the last several weeks/months I have deliberately not used one, and everyone still seems to thoroughly understand what I have said and meant.

There are some here who overuse them, I guess in some sort of attempt to either abuse or leave weazel room.

Who is in favour of a trial for say a week, where they are not available?

Let's see who can communicate using words.

Maybe it could be a thread for THE TAVERN: a conversation without emoticons and whoever uses emoticons doesn't get listened to  Wink

It's not a bad idea.. attack with ideas they say!

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

Is that you auntie Dot ?

Given its a period and her current disposition, I'd say its more like Aunt Flo.

Hey, don't talk about my lady friend that way! I am helping her to conceive.
