Food company bows to Muslim intimidation
Apr 30th, 2014 at 9:14pm

Around 200 branches of Subway have cut ham and bacon from their menus, serving halal meat in response to calls from their Muslim customers.

The sandwich chain said 'following a strong demand from our Muslim customers', 185 stores in the UK and Ireland have introduced the meat, which is prepared under strict Islamic rules.

Whoooaaaa... ! HOLD it right there, Bucko! Not so fast.

They have 185 stores in the UK where only 4.8% of the population is Muslim.

But for business reasons they've decided to eliminate ham and bacon products from their menu ~ despite over 90% of Britain's population being ham and bacon eaters?

Bullshit.

They've been threatened with violence. From the Usual Suspects. That can be the only explanation.

No one's asking the Muslim customers to choose ham or bacon sandwiches. They can choose their halal meats. So why is Subway denying its non-Muslim customers a choice of ham and bacon on the menu?

There can be no logical explanation except the threat of violence if they have ham and bacon on their menu.

And here's another little piece of insanity:

In Britain, killing an animal without prior stunning is illegal, but the law gives special exemption to Muslim and Jewish meat producers on the grounds of religion.

You’re right, Herbie, it has to be. Like those library books that were missing, listed on the database as "stolen by the usual suspects".

And they turned out to be there on the database, listed as "available".

What exactly is the "Mail Online"? It’s the source of all your information.

Is it the Truth?

Capitalism, if 90 percent of potential customers dont agree with their decision and vote with their wallets Subway will go broke. Zero issues here, subway has made a business decision which may or may not go favourably for them. Who cares.

Yes. I think that is bs too. Because there are surveys which say that more than 10% of Britons are vegetarian, and nearly a quarter rarely eat meat. About 5% of people in England are Muslim, another 1% are either Jewish or Buddhist - and they are not supposed to eat pork either. Many Scots traditionally considered pork taboo.

Many Christians follow the Bible and do not eat pork like 7th Day Adventists and Coptic Christians.

Quote:
And you may not eat the pig. It has split hooves but does not chew the cud, so it is ceremonially unclean for you. You may not eat the meat of these animals or even touch their carcasses.

I can feel another migraine coming on ...

The whole point is that it's NOT a 'business decision', but a terrified capitulation to threats of Muslim violence if they didn't remove the 'offending' haram meat from their menu.

They've chosen to off-side 90% of their customer-base rather than face the wrath of Muslim activists who would comprise no more than 0.5% of the UK's entire population.

It should call for a royal commission into Muslim intimidation of food outlets throughout Britain. The school canteens, the hospital cafeterias, the big stores cafeterias ~

These Muslim activists are a virus that should be exterminated.

Theres no evidence of your claim, looks like a sound business decision to me. They have 1500 stores in the UK, they have obviously examined the demographics and realised that in these 185 stores they would increase sales if they provided only halal meat. Very sound business decision, makes me want to buy shares in them now, thanks for the heads up.

You are making the assumption that 90% of people actually care.  I'd be amazed if this was true

Oh.

This is happening in the UK, and now you've got me wondering if they'll do the same in the USA.

Lousy coffee, by the way. Worst coffee I've ever tasted outside of a coffee machine.

Appalling, in fact. Yes, that bad.

Once again confirming in me never to be impressed by the 'professionals'.

******

Good on you, by the way.

That's right. Herbie has incontravertable proof of Muslim bomb threats and ransom letters sent out to UK Subway franchises.

Friend of a friend, you see. All hush-hush, and Herbie can't reveal his sources for obvious reasons.

Nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say no more.

Exactly. We're all wondering. But why stop there?

I think we can safely say that this is happening under our very noses, right here in Australia.
