Bullshit.

Yes. I think that is bs too. Because there are surveys which say that more than 10% of Britons are vegetarian, and nearly a quarter rarely eat meat. About 5% of people in England are Muslim, another 1% are either Jewish or Buddhist - and they are not supposed to eat pork either. Many Scots traditionally considered pork taboo.

Many Christians follow the Bible and do not eat pork like 7th Day Adventists and Coptic Christians.

Quote:
And you may not eat the pig. It has split hooves but does not chew the cud, so it is ceremonially unclean for you. You may not eat the meat of these animals or even touch their carcasses.

- Deuteronomy 14:8

More BS. All meat was declared clean in a vision to Peter.

What kind of government is it that makes it unlawful to kill an animal by slitting it throat because of cruelty considerations ~ but then makes an exception in the case of religious whackos who want to practice this barbarity from ancient times?

A government too scared to stand up to idiotic  Islamic extremism.

Just like when they let in Islamic extremists to hold lectures at the loving lakemba mosque without blinking an eye lid but cried and sooked when Mr Geert Wilders a politician came here to hold lectures on the truth of Islam and how it has trashed other countries already.

At that rate it will only be a matter of time until the infestation takes place if they are that scared of the violent nutters.

No government I can think of. You?

Oh, of course - a government that excuses library book vandalism, ignores underage marriage, employs terrorist doctors, etc, etc, etc.

I blame Islam. Typical.

Killing an animal by slitting its throat isnt cruel if done properly, its actually a humane method of killing an animal. Australian farmers still kill animals in this way to provide meat for their own table.

It’s illegal in Australia, even if you’re a farmer.

The sandwich chain said 'following a strong demand from our Muslim customers', 185 stores in the UK and Ireland have introduced the meat, which is prepared under strict Islamic rules.

But for business reasons they've decided to eliminate ham and bacon products from their menu ~ despite over 90% of Britain's population being ham and bacon eaters?

So why is Subway denying its non-Muslim customers a choice of ham and bacon on the menu?
