At Villawood, you say?  Hardly 'accepted' then is he?  He was being 'processed' - meaning he was there as a potential validated refugee...... not 'accepted' yet in any way, shape or form.

The department tried to deport him after his conviction for the importation of 1.873kg of cocaine from New Zealand inside the covers of children’s books in 2003.

He was jailed for 10 years in 2005 with a non-parole period of six-and-a-half years, which was to end in September, 2011.

Before he was released from jail, Nweke beat a deportation order after he appealed to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Before a visa can be cancelled on the ground of character, consideration must be given to the welfare of any children affected.

2003.. who was running the show then... ummmm....  damn... Wee Johnnie....

Now - let me say this - the government and PM etc have little to no responsibility in this - the entire matter was up to the immigration people and the courts...... and there is a clear division of responsibilities here....

So (sadly)  you can't even hold Wee Johnnie responsible...

The man was given a bona fide chance here - and blew it up his nose.... nothing new there....

He was at villawood awaiting deportation after serving his original sentence, he has now been arrested, refused bail and will be held at an actual prison. Hope this clears it up for you. Hopefully he will be found hanged in his cell.  Wink

One man ALP welcomed with open arms (and borders)

Anyone know how many other government decisions Labor made during the Howard terms?

Did Labor illegally invade Iraq or introduce the GST after John had promised to never ever introduce a GST ?
