I seem to recall reading somewhere that women are far and away more vicious than men when it comes to torture etc, historically, and since they are also responsible for the great majority of physical and mental harm to children, demonstrating their congenital lack of empathy, perhaps RH should be sent to a women's prison?
That'd certainly focus his attention on the error of his ways! Cheesy

No. It's in England, not here.

He can only be sentenced based on the penalties that existed when he committed the crimes - i.e. pre 1986. The maximum sentences then were a fraction of what they are now.
Also, they still have the remissions system there - they can't specify a minimum jail time to be served. Unlike here, they get time off for good behaviour, so they can serve just half or less of the specified sentence.

I think it is terribly unfortunate that such things can never be held to a totally objective standard of proof and evidence, and thus such offences can be treated properly every time... but them's the breaks.

BTW - that is one reason why a person may be judicially guilty but in fact innocent, and why there is reference now to 'police records' rather than 'criminal records'. There IS, unfortunately for society, a huge difference, as in old-time and probably current Libya and elsewhere, in 'coming to the attention of police' etc and actually being guilty of anything.

Nah, in fact if you read the link Alinta has provided, it is arguable that what Rolf was handed is (technically) manifestly excessive.

but they were probably gossip mags and not the real facts....today they get sued for that Laurence Olivier..and Danny Kaye was a bit of an eye opener....but still it wasnt children involved and as far as I know I do not recall anything along those lines.. and there were plenty of child actors lets face it...

I beliv e another 30 women have come out with complaints about Rolf...looks like he had too much time on his hands...oops... so once again I do not believe his wife didnt know about his BAD habit...and for all we know it did go further...we are not told about whats coming out now..

.this is what he did in public.. I shudder to think what went on behind closed doors..

how do you know they were after????...its no different to any case like this.. always people come out during and after...I am not sure how the police handle it.. they have by law to take notice I am sure of that.. but what they do with that knowledge I wouldnt know..just supposing most are in AUstralia..and if he is returned here they can then sue him I dont know....it seems strange I admit..but then we didnt know about the 10 witness' until the last minute so these may have all been there.just not added to the LOOONG list..

I do not think just anyone can walk in and make a claim........it takes more than that I am sure.

I totally agree with you that men are largely responsible for the atrocities in the world, but the vast majority are average caring people who try their best.
Actually, I support some type of medical procedure to take away the urges of repeat offenders, but that's a dicey area and I would expect a lot of opposition to this idea.

If you do a little research into how having women in charge might reduce wars and violence, you should be surprised to find that it's not the case.

Here's a little snip from an article that took me about 10 seconds to find.
