What a supreme egotist.. a typical denier..

.ooooh ohh I did nothing wrong.

HE  wants to APPEAL..??

Well let him.. and see the sentence INCREASE.

What a scum bag ...

he is taking a HUGE chance isnt he.... everyone thinks it was too lenient ...so it will be interesting... another hard one for the judiciary

personally I thought the sentence was a good one..hes old he could even be border line senile.his life is in ruins.. along with anyone he sexually assaulted... he now has some idea what they may have gone through...when he comes out he is 90.. and too what?

I am sort of in the middle on this one...had he got 2 years I would have been appalled.

The Appeal being sought is against the conviction and the sentence.

I'm not saying this applies in this case ~ but it is occurring far too often that a person found guilty of sexual offences is later proven to be completely innocent.  That is why there is an appeal process.  There was some pretty technical legal stuff for the Judge to properly instruct on, and for the Jury to absorb particularly concerning the use they can make of the several charges when considering guilt on just one.

Rolf has around a 20 million dollar personal fortune.  I'm sure his legal team will be overjoyed at the prospect of digging some of that out for themselves.

Nothing like a rich client to keep the pot bubbling along.

I can't see that Rolf will wriggle off the hook with this one. Too many complaints against him and on the outside more people are coming forward and lodging fresh complaints.

He'll most probably spend the rest of his life inside raging against the machine. Good luck with that Rolf. I guess it helps pass the time.

I can understand children not coming forward. But adult females? Females who work in show business and the media? Come on, it beggars credibility.

All it proves is RH chose his situations well, he could probably sum up a personality and assess the risk.
There is absolutely nothing to suggest some of these women would not have repeated their story to friends and workmates. In fact they must have, or else why would RH have been known in entertainment circles as 'the octopus'?

Why did they not take it further? Part of it is because they felt silly. They felt uncomfortable and perhaps a bit embarrassed as well. They probably felt angry, but the situation usually wasn't quite serious enough to make them feel it warranted going to the police etc

That is why I think RH was great at risk assessment. I am betting there are some women in the media he would not have touched in a fit because he would have known they would be more outspoken.

Were the women all traumatised? Depends on the level of abuse and age of the female. In some cases yes, in other cases no, but the women would have been upset.

So
I highly doubt Rolf got up in the morning with his fiendish master plan cunningly and carefully worked out as to the risk assessment of the personality profile he was going to grope that day. The more you try and ratioalise this the more ludicrous it sounds. I think most of these allegations are cr@p and are people jumping on the band wagon for media publicity. Especially coming from washed up Tv and radio personalities.

Im betting he gets out on appeal, if he doesnt the English justice system isnt worth tuppence.

Agree....I won't be surprised if Leave to Appeal is granted......if he's knocked back by one judge, he can reapply and three judges will decide....

As for winning a subsequent Appeal Hearing??????  I hate to think he might, but need to research applicable English case law to gather a more informed view.

Theres still plenty of time for someone in prison to beat Rolf to a bloody pulp and hopefully he will die behind bars shortly after.
Every cent Rolf has earned needs to be confiscated and distributed to the women he abused over his disgraceful career.

Rolf has got away with his 'funny stuff' for decades. We all have to pay the piper at some stage of our life, for the misdeeds we have done along the way.

Rolf is currently paying the Piper and will continue to do so until he dies...gaol or no gaol, he is washed up and totally discredited. His reputation in tatters is a far worse sentence for him than the gaol time.

Scott Morrison supports child abuse, and he's a member of the Australian Parliament.

As you (or anyone) would appear to be if you genuinely and steadfastly maintained your innocence after a conviction.
