Gawd....you are taking it right over the top aren't you? The Lady had a very troubled teen and later years, and some of it was her own making. She made headlines for having consensual sex at 13 with a 24 year old bloke in the YTT crew ~ he was convicted eventually on a plea of guilty of unlawful carnal knowledge (not rape, as we know that to usually mean, as the act was with her consent) yet ~ the reference now to it misleadingly is that someone had been convicted of raping her.

The Lady is an enigma, an outstanding talent lost somehow after years of alcohol and heroine abuse, and suddenly, out of nowhere, she reappears ~ and of all places ~ on Facebook, instead of taking it to Police, she makes these allegations concerning events which allegedly occurred about 40 years ago.

Those are facts Emma, no interpretation, and I have no need to walk her shoes. I am not condemning the woman. I am reminding myself of the facts.

Aussie... I think the references to Ms Byrne ... IRRELEVANT. Gnads is a gnat.... I think nothing of his opinions.. but yours.. I'd like to respect. YOU KNOW the FACTS,..??

The reason is simple ~ if Debra gets traction on this at 57 years of age, some bastard, 40 years since an event likely involving pubescent consent, is going to have his life turned upside down as a consequence of allegations made by a Lady who really, by her own admission, was a very disturbed person, one who became addicted to alcohol and heroine, and one, despite enormous talent, became as mundane as the rest of us. On top of all that, one must conject about her motive, particularly since, instead of going to the Police, she went to Face Book. There are some analogies to the Rolf Harris sorry saga.

The latest to publicly claim victimhood, Debra Byrne. If I ever see her crying that whatever happened to her with her active consent and participation was the cause of any later or current anguish, I will spew.....and I will post the youtube records of her beaming away, and lapping up the glory of her own This is Your Life done when she was in her 30s. She was a 14 year old female predator/provocateur who knew very well that an erect penis has no conscience.

what you do fail to mention aussie is these were all children.. one 8 years of age not your average groupie....and when I see charges related to children of a tender age...I always ask myself...

WHY CHILDREN... and I usually answer said question like this..

well they almost never ever say anything at the time..

most children think THEY will be in trouble ...

very very few children ever bring this up until they are of a mature age...

and guess what these perps know that...

if they touchy feely with a 17 year old she would probably speak up a lot sooner if not knock him down...

I cannot speak from experience thank goodness... but I am sure thats almost certainly how it works..children dont know about right or wrong in this regard...and for most the adult is almost always in the right...

today we live in a more enlightened world than k god and if a child ever told me of something that happened I would most certainly do something about it right away....

would I have done 20 or 30 years ago.. I can only hope I would have..

Just for the record my position on Rolf Harris is, that he has been found guilty of offences which he committed over decades. It is my belief that he has been getting away with blue murder and the offences he was tried for only represent a small percentage of what he most probably carried out.

He is now in gaol and it his own damned fault that he is there. Whatever happens to Rolf in there, good or bad is as a direct result of his disgusting practices over the course of a lifetime. I like to think of it as Karma.

Personally I couldn't give a tinker's cuss what happens to him in gaol. He didn't show any remorse for the lives 'that we know' he has affected badly.

He is now at the mercy and behest of the system for the next few years if he makes it through. He does not deserve any consideration.

I will never, ever forget him singing to the jury when he was in the dock, forever the ham even when facing a Jury of his Peers.

I don't think his wobble board is going to work for him on the inside.
