Yes  well these were your words...

Harris would have become wrapped up in his own self importance and the fawning femme fatals who were aplenty at the time.  Way too easy to lose the moral compass in that environment, and he clearly did.

Now I may have drawn a long bow... but given the "tenor" of your comments... why wouldn't you mean  the victims who came forward.??

Bit like your Byrne rant eh?? eh ??

Yes & not Robin Hoods bow ..... a bent one for sure.

Never heard phraseology described in that fashion before ... perhaps you meant "tenure"?  Roll Eyes  Tongue

Oh ... baritone  Tongue

Funny how the typed word has a "tone' ... which should/would be distinguished by ear.

Tenor is what you put into my words.  I generally write in a very literal sense especially when discussing matters like this.  If I mean something specific, I will use unequivocal words which I have.  Best thing you can do Emma is read them for what they are, and not attempt to put a tone of your choosing into them.

I have not seen any tone/tenor in your posts....just silly attempts to provoke me with personal insults.  That won't work.

you are incorrect..  Ian and Gnat..  and the rest of you,, and you know who you are don't you just..??

If you are suggesting I hate any of you... well don't think that much of yourselves..OK..??  You are just a male , presumably,  with some need to attempt to denigrate women.

You only rate a reply...

I enjoy a bit of a verbal dialogue..this is true... and strangely.. Roll Eyes  I find that when I disagree with certain Posters here..and continue to do so .. the attacks begin... usually a pretty sad bunch of traditional  anti-women slogans...
.. nothing you guys say is new.. you know that don't you.. you just keep on spouting the same old rubbish.

If you truly think your dominant paradigm will rule...  dream on.. time moves on guys.. whether YOU like it or NOT.

YAWN.

cods, I have been diligently ignoring you, but this is just too much.

Why do you lie so?

Quote:
aussie is well known for supporting those who have been found guilty of a CRIME....

You will not find one post of mine where I have done so.

Quote:
he is particularly fond of telling us how dreadful the Morecombe family are

I, and the rest of the Sunshine Coast, have had a gut full of the Morecombes who earn income as a direct consequence of the murder of their son, and that is what I have said, consistently.

Quote:
and how  their sons murderer Cowan was set up and therefore unfairly tried..... for something he confessed he did...

It is an indisputable fact that he was set up with what is known as a "Mr Big" sting, and in that sting, as urged and as induced by undercover coppers running the sting he 'confessed.'  Up until very recently, that sting was considered legitimate because of a train of Canadian legal precedents....BUT NOW....the Supreme Court of Canada has determined the activity is police misconduct, and confessions arising from it, may be excluded from what the Jury get to hear.  That Canadian decision is not binding but is of persuasive authority here in Queensland. Those are legal concepts, cods, so I understand why it would all go right over your head.

Quote:
but aussie didnt think it was FAIR....

I made critical comments about the admissibility/value of the obviously induced confession.....and guess what cods, subsequently, the Supreme Court of Canada agreed with me.  I guess that is a fairly good endorsement, and I'll take it.

Quote:
of course killing the boy was FAIR...

At no time did I assert that.

Quote:
and the parent trying to move on is not on in aussies view...its disgraceful in fact...

Crap.  The fact is they are not trying to move on at all.  At every opportunity, they are putting themselves into the public spotlight, even during the course of this week.

Quote:
he is very hurt and hard done by their behaviour...

Neither.  Just had a gutfull as have 300,000 people here on the Coast.

Quote:
Cowan well he had a bad childhood didnt he?

When have I ever given a tinker's cuss about that?

Quote:
aussie objects to the use of smilies as well...

Cods, if you want to stay out of my firing line, please cease with the outright lies and defamatory distortions.  Perhaps you might benefit with some advice from mantra in that regard.  I recommend you PM her on the subject.

(No emoticons were mis-used in the making of this Post.)

I too have been diligently IGNORING you...

so I will do myself a favour and ignore this as well...again you protest too much.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

again its all about you and what you think....

ye gods aussie says so its got to be right...

very dogmatic.. I am glad I will never get in your taxi...I can see the hairs standing up on your neck when a passengers dares to disagree with you.... Sad Sad..

but IGNORE its the only way emma.. aussie is never wrong.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes so he tells us.

some people actually believe if that person had not been in that place... then that crime would not have happened...

its that simple... if Danial Morecombe had not been waiting at a bus stop... cowan would have had no reason to murder him...

I MEAN.. whos fault was that... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

if naughty girls didnt want an autograph.. would Rolfie babe have been in a position to put his hands on them.. by mistake of course...just a brush a tap.. accident..

come on emma be reasonable..
