Rolf never been to Cambridge, a 1978 video of Rolf having a celebrity sports day there kind  of makes his cries of 'haven't been there, haven't done that', look really lame don't they.

Over Night,

Harris got busted lying when the prosecution produced video evidence of him being in an area of where he said that he'd never been in his life until 4 years ago...

he said that he could never have abused that young girl as he'd never been to Cainbridge..

turns out,

he was there leading a team in an event called
"Celebrity Games"

Is this just the blind leading the blind? It seems that there's a iot of C$#nt in all of them, except only one has the talent to bring millions of smiles around the world.

He was known as the 'octopus' at TV and radio stations where he would be interviewed.

He was a grubby little man who took liberties with girls and women with no concern for the embarrassment he caused them.

Sneaky 'gropers' are low-lifes' who lack the mature inhibitions that the average person exercises as part of being a civilised human being. 'Gropers' are thieves of girls' and women's right to be respected for their dignity.

His inappropriate 'groping' was on a par with those sad wänkers who take pictures up women's skirts.

Grubby, indecent, self-serving wretches.

I hope he's forced to pay a heavy compensation to all those women who were so disgracefully abused by him. That just might knock the inane smile off his wife's face.

all we have so far really is his affair with his daughters friend and some very dodgy allegations of groping. They reckon they found kiddie porn on his computer but it hasnt been mentioned in court yet as far as I am aware.

They found indecent paintings he had done of girls at his home.

The print media has reported a lot more than we're hearing on the news.

Indecent paintings or simply nudes?

Do you remember the charcoal sketches of Aboriginal women & young girls cartoonist Eric Jolliffe of Salt Bush Bill & Wichettys Tribe did????

Harris could do the same with a 5 inch paintbrush ...... in fact did many on TV over the years ....

wasn't considered "indecent" then. Roll Eyes

I'll grant you that what a man paints at his easel in his own home in private is no one's business but his own ~ decent or not.

But ... with Harris it adds more pieces to the jig-saw puzzle. It lends credibility to his accusers.

The whole damn thing is very sordid, and the only one who is emerging from this whole sorry saga is Harris's daughter who I think has been conducting herself magnificently, with grace and dignity.

he is charged with Indecent assault...mantra  of a minor..

not knowing the whole story I would think each one is different for instance the one whos family where all friends of the Harris' they went on holidays together...children are not always believed and some block it out I know someone who did this...she was in her 20s when she had flash backs..something triggers it to all come back..it was her grandfather and he was then dead.. but when she told the grandmother the grandmother wouldnt have a bar of it..... so who do they tell??... do you think anyone would have believed it of Rolf 40 years ago???...

no one talked about it then...

That's true, but most of these girls who claim sexual assault were 13 or 14 and old enough to tell someone who might believe them.

I've never been a fan of Harris - always thought he was sleazy, although very talented. Still - why not bring up these issues even 20 years ago. How can an elderly man be expected to remember all the details even if he did grope young girls when he had the opportunity.

Herbert - yes there are plenty of decent, civilised men around who would never take advantage of a young girl and being groped isn't pleasant. I encountered a few gropers as a teenager - in boardrooms, offices - and even walking around the shops in nice suburbs or at a crowded train station. It was something that many young girls just accepted. Perhaps it was the micro mini skirts we wore back then - that's what my mother used to say anyway, but you either laughed it off with your girlfriends or just accepted it with disgust. I couldn't even put a name or face to a groper now and I certainly didn't lose any sleep over them.

The only reason Harris is remembered is because he's a celebrity. There's going to be a settlement in it for the alleged victims. This is all about money.

It's a shady area.

According to my own lights, so long as a man is not involved in trafficking pornographic material ~ or fiddling with what he ought not to ... then how he amuses himself in the privacy of his home is a matter between him and his conscience.

You women sometimes forget that we males of the species walk around our whole lives like loaded guns looking for nooky. I can tell you personally that it is often a damn nuisance and an unwelcome distraction.

You women have the inconvenience and distraction of 'that time of month' to contend with during your fecund years, while we males have Nature pulling at our loins on almost an hourly basis trying to bully us into spreading our 'seed' far and wide as an Evolutionary imperative.

You gerls don't know how lucky you have it.  Cool

If you have a man in your life, then you might let him know you understand his daily struggle with the loaded gun he keeps in his pants.

He'd appreciate it if from time to time you could put a sympathetic hand on his arm, and say to him ... "You poor dear ... "  Cool

It's sad that his orientation also includes young girls as well as women, but as long as he doesn't 'act out' those fantasies in real life, then once again it's nobody's business but his own.

Many an otherwise good man has been brought low and had his life ruined by public disclosures of a sexual kind that conventional society has deemed to be disgraceful and perverted.

Nowadays it's almost a criminal offence to publicly express any sort of moral disapproval and contempt for homosexuals, whereas just a few years ago it was "The love that dare not speak its name".

What was recently regarded as being an utter abomination has now become a cause for celebration and street parades.

Maybe it's just that Rolf Harris is before his time ...  Cool

I was sexually assaulted by an older boy at school: I never told anyone. It was a shameful secret.

I was sexually assaulted by a young man up the road from my school: Never told anyone. A shameful secret.

I was sexually assaulted by a 'friend of the family' from age 9 to 15: Never told anyone. Shameful secret.

20 years ago there wasn't an entire police department devoted to flushing out the kiddy-fiddlers and the perverts. Anyone complaining as a lone voice would have been told to "Go away and forget it".

Ah ... spoken like a woman. The Gender Gap.

Men keep mental 'trophies' of their sexploits. He would remember.

No it isn't. It's all about the UK police department catching up with a whole swathe of nasty individuals who once thought they were entitled to encroach upon the dignity of young girls for their own selfish satisfaction.

I can see your point of view. Up until the 80's sexual assaults were fairly common, but there wasn't anyone to complain to so you just got over it - although that would depend on the severity of the assault.

You wouldn't be alone in your experiences as a young man Herbert - few men would complain about these assaults - even today.

So what? ... they use whatever they can to discredit/cast aspersions in a prosecution case.

And how do you know he painted these nubile girls in his 80's.

They well could have been painted years ago.

Are there any of you who have known of some one in your circles who has a propensity for being a hands man or too touchy feely?

I've seen quite a few.... including my former brother in law.

So far that's all I've seen in the allegations so far .... even his daughter has said in the witness stand that he did not indecently assault her friend in front of her as the alleged victim & prosecution claim.

I was prepared not to comment on this because it looked like there may be a genuine case against Rolf.

But so far all I've seen is unsubstantiated allegation, assumption, aspersions & a lynch mob mentality.
