Perhaps this is why women are more resilient. Most of us would at least talk to our friends about something this devastating which is some sort of release. We had someone to blame - the male, but men tend to keep humiliating or painful situations to themselves especially if the perpetrator is the same gender.

Actually Herbert, it makes the case even more complexing.  Pedophiles have an attraction to young prepubescent children, if he is one that would have been his focus. Instead we are hearing allegations of indecent assault from all ages including adults, it doesnt fit.

What abuse?

Stay tuned.

all we have so far really is his affair with his daughters friend and some very dodgy allegations of groping. They reckon they found kiddie porn on his computer but it hasnt been mentioned in court yet as far as I am aware.

They found indecent paintings he had done of girls at his home.

The print media has reported a lot more than we're hearing on the news.

Indecent paintings or simply nudes?

Do you remember the charcoal sketches of Aboriginal women & young girls cartoonist Eric Jolliffe of Salt Bush Bill & Wichettys Tribe did????

Harris could do the same with a 5 inch paintbrush ...... in fact did many on TV over the years ....

wasn't considered "indecent" then. Roll Eyes

the police took them away... I doubt they were simple nudes..and you dont find it creepy a man in his 80s painting nubile girls..

So what? ... they use whatever they can to discredit/cast aspersions in a prosecution case.

TOTAL RUBBISH THIS IS A VERY HIGH PROFILE CASE THEY WOULDNT DARE.

And how do you know he painted these nubile girls in his 80's.

They well could have been painted years ago.

THE POLICE SAID THEY WERE IN THE PAST 18 MONTHS... YOU CANNOT LIE ON A COMPUTER..

Are there any of you who have known of some one in your circles who has a propensity for being a hands man or too touchy feely?

I've seen quite a few.... including my former brother in law.

AND YOU TURNED A BLIND EYE TO IT??????

THAT IS NOT SOMETHING i WOULD BE TELLING THE WORLD..IT IS A CRIME YOU KNOW..

So far that's all I've seen in the allegations so far .... even his daughter has said in the witness stand that he did not indecently assault her friend in front of her as the alleged victim & prosecution claim.

I was prepared not to comment on this because it looked like there may be a genuine case against Rolf.

But so far all I've seen is unsubstantiated allegation, assumption, aspersions & a lynch mob mentality.

HE HAS ADMITTED SOME OF IT.....HE DIDNT THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT..

DONT YOU GET IT...?

IT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENCE TO TOUCH SOMEONE INAPPROPRIATELY...MORE SO IF IT WAS A CHILD...

WHAT DO YOU WANT.. VIDEOS?????...

HOW DOES A CHILD SUBSTANTIATE BEING MOLESTED..?? EVEN MORE SO A WOMEN WHO CLAIMS IT HAPPENED YEARS AGO..

ARE YOU SICK OR SOMETHING?

YOU MAY AS WELL ASK SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN ROBBED... WHERES THE VIDEO?

No it isn't. It's all about the UK police department catching up with a whole swathe of nasty individuals who once thought they were entitled to encroach upon the dignity of young girls for their own selfish satisfaction.

I can see your point of view. Up until the 80's sexual assaults were fairly common, but there wasn't anyone to complain to so you just got over it - although that would depend on the severity of the assault.

You wouldn't be alone in your experiences as a young man Herbert - few men would complain about these assaults - even today.

I entirely blame the culture of the time when such things "were not spoken of in decent company" ... and so, generations of kids kept quiet rather than 'inconvenience' and 'embarrass' the adults with complaints about other adults.

Being a kid complaining about an adult was a very scary prospect.

do children ever speak up about adults????

how many paedophiles do we hear of who have been put away because of a child????.. it doesnt happen...

only when they are caught by the police selling something.....

we have only just made it mandatory for doctors and teachers to speak up if they notice a child showing certain signs..its still taboo...a teacher for instance wouldnt dare ask anyone in the class to put their hands up if they were being touched when they didnt like it??...imagine the outcry?

He's an unwelcome groper.

And forget the dictionary: If a fully grown adult male is getting his jollies off by lying in bed with a 14 year old girl ~ that's paedophilia. Spin it any way you like ~ it's a hairy adult in bed with a child.

A fuller tan for who? The mirror? The boyfriend? The husband? The PE master?

Girls disport themselves on the beach in bikinis because .... they know they look good.

This is true and yes - they don't like lecherous old men looking at them, but in a public place - they don't have a say in who's allowed to look and who isn't. Of course they'd prefer cute looking young men to be the only ones to ogle, but they have to take the good with the bad, otherwise they should just cover themselves up.

One of the more civilised cultural characteristics of the Anglo-Saxon people is the matter of being discrete.

Most 'wogs' have no such refinement of manners and inhibition in their culture.

Most girls at the beach who wear bikinis don't mind being 'admired' by the males as long as this attention is subtle and discrete.

I thought this was all about 13 and 14 year old girls.  Being female I can remember being a 14 year old girl in a bikini on a beach.  I love it when men think they know how the female mind works.

How about themselves?   Do you really think young girls dress solely to please and be ogled by old men?  Is it so hard to believe that they want to please themselves in how they look.

This really doesn't mean anything other than what it is.  To assume that girls/women dress solely to be ogled is a rather odd belief.
