Let me be the first to point out that Progessor Ian is wrong yet again. Six years of getting his corn hole pounded for old Rolf.

Rolf should have got a minimum of 10 yrs in maximum security..
This sentence just makes a mockery of what he did to those children.

Do you reckon life's a bit like that? In that there is no perfection?

I don't support the bad poo, but I'd rather say that bad poo is gonna happen than nothing at all.

The same could be said of the government or justice system. They don't always get it right, but some form of legal recourse is better than none at all.

I can't do this, but I'm doing it anyway.

I also predicted the return of Workchoices Aug 30th, 2013:

I started a thread on Abbott's Workchoices back in Aug 4th, 2012

I predict that Rolf will die quickly in jail.

your links mean nothing.. they are just, .......( and this is an assumption as I will not bother reading them) .......... repeating your prev posts...

SO..??  Big deal..

YOUR point..??
OH OH that's right.. you think RH is going to die .. in jail.. freezing.. and eating  DOG FOOD..!!  Is that about it..??

Dear Emma,
I found my predictions using Google.

If this new prediction comes true will you apologise to me?

Sentencing a sick old man to die in jail is not justice -
it's an appeal to revenge.

Rolf has already been humiliated enough that his life's story
& reputation is ruined -

His 13 million pounds of assets will be lost to all the civil legal cases to follow.

That is enough punishment.
The sentence given was too harsh.

That poor old hapless wife of Rolf's I don't think she knew what the freak was going on at any stage, smiling wanly as she struggled in each day to support her errant evil husband.

I doubt that for sure... she knew and turned a blind eye....sorry but according to the industry it was common knowledge to them all he was called the octopus..

everyone knew and turned a blind eye because of who he was..... bugger the children...

although to be a little bit fair times were a bit different then...many things were covered up and who would want to point the finger at an ICON..

I bet all of us were in shock when we first heard.. ROLF... cant be.....NOOOOOOOOO...

its like having ones faith torn apart....he was just too lovable he loved everybody  Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Hey guys, its called justice; whoever you are, no matter how old or venerated you will pay for your crimes. Instead of sympathy for Rolf, how about sympathy for the victims and outrage that  Rolf never told the truth or expressed remorse. I hope the old pervert rots in jail.

Thus the book closes on an extraordinary episode in many, many lives. Not just the victims but all of those of us who loved him and were shaken to our foundations to find this icon had feet of clay.

Rolf is now left to ruminate in prison as to the evil he has secretly spread during his life. All the joy he created counts for nothing against the evil he perpetrated over and over again against innocent female victims.

Piece by piece reminders of him are now being removed, plaques, names, paintings, music  all disappearing and soon Rolf with fade from our memories. But not so the memories of the victims who he has left a constant reminder all of their lives of the foul deeds he committed on them.

His sentence is relatively light but you can bet he doesn't think that. He will have at least 3 years before parole to consider his life. It won't be time done easily, it will be gut wrenchingly hard and so it should be.

Dear Baron,
will you still say that if he dies of hypothermia from the freezing UK winter with no heating or
the poor food - not fit for a dog?

I'd like to read your links  etc.. but I'm running old gear,.. and so ... no can see...   Smiley

However...   regarding his 'artwork'...  it isn't that particularly worthy  IMO..  I didn't realise he was a major recognised artist who had won awards for his 'art'.
In fact I don't actually believe that.. pls  show me I'm wrong...  very populist no doubt..  but worthy enough to balance his corruption...??

NO WAY JOSE....  !!  Get off it...

I admit I was amazed at the time... when the TV show came on about him ...painting a portrait of the Queen..?  for goodness sake..   Huh

Before any of this came out it was...and  I didn't think his work worthy of such opportunity....

But then it seems, does it not,.. that RH was a master of opportunity..??

Now we are getting to the nitty gritty of it. Smiley

I have to say I always thought he was a pretty good family entertainer and was very shocked when the allegations first surfaced.

But a top flight artist?
I guess I am not talented that way, so I am no expert judge, but I was also surprised when he was chosen to do a portrait of the queen. I would have thought there were better artists around for that sort of thing.

Having said that, he didn't do a bad job at all, I was surprised.

But it comes back to the basic question of whether the art can stand alone, or was it only valued for the fame of the artist?

Someone mentioned Hitler and his art, and I would imagine his paintings will increase in value in time because of their association (though they will never get the prices of the truly great art), but RH is nowhere near as famous as Hitler.

So it really comes down to.. is his art good enough to stand on its own merits?
I think some of it may be.. or it is as good as some other works hanging in galleries, anyway.
