In a public school you need written permission from the parents ~ both Muslim and Christian.

The guy was way out of order and an unusually ignorant dope for not realising that teaching Christianity to Muslim children was playing with dynamite.

He shouldn't have been beaten up, but should have been warned to discontinue what he was doing.

I feel (sort of sorry) for this religious teacher, but as an atheist kid who was dragged through school for 7 years having to attend church every Sunday, and listen to preaching, and attend religious classes, I don't have too much sympathy for people who get their rocks off telling small kids that religion is history and not delusional fantasies dreamed up 2000 years ago to explain Nature and the universe and everything in between.

There's not the slightest chance that the Muslim parents gave permission for that school/teacher to start lecturing their children on Christianity.

The guy was a fool and an idiot who must have lived on another planet these last few years not to know that there could be nasty repercussions for presuming to lecture the Muslim kids on Christianity.

It's hard to believe that since 9/11 anyone could be so idiotic as to do what he did. He should have pulled his head out of his arse a long time ago and taken stock of the current realities.
