Yes.
It adds no value.
We act on complaints, every one.
The act may be a ban or it may not be, but every complaint is looked at.

Muso was the greatest loss ever to this forum.

Andrei,
You did nothing about the sickening faeces talk on the first 6 posts of this page when I complained on Jun 6th, 2014 at 11:34pm.

Yes it does to a member. Even just a one word acknowledgement is an act of courtesy. At least we know then that you've bothered to read it. You are not being asked to provide any further information.

Maybe we could said up a one word automatic responder.

If you look at your outbox, there are symbols to indicate whether the message has been looked at. In particular, the "thanks for your feedback" symbol means the message has been opened.

I dont generally bother the mods with PMs.  I am content to let people expose themselves in full forum view as brain damaged dunces and fools which is why I will vote for Aussie as universal mod.

Having said that in regard to the behaviour of mods,  do the other mods get proactive in threads without being prompted or are a forums "owner" considered sacrosanct and they can do as they wish within their domain?

it would stop a lot of whinging..I cant see the point of it if you dont know what action is taken..

but some seem to worry they are not being heard.

the fact we NEED moderators doesnt seem to cause any stress.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes..but thats life today..

what WAS important years ago isnt even mentioned today..

for those who wouldnt have a clue!I am talking about.

manners.
respect
tolerance
looking at the rules and not questioning them just getting on with it..
knowing you are better than those you complain about..

if someone abused you, you moved on got out of their space..not so today.

we seem to feast on it.

bring back muso...

They should uphold the same minimum standards.

My first thoughts were Alevine and Mantra. I haven't been following the forum enough lately to be confident though. I have a feeling they are both what would be considered 'leftards', but as I said I don't follow the personalities of this board enough to be sure without further study.

Exactly. In a word, it_is_the_light. It sounds crazy, but he'd be great. Think about it:
1. He's nice to everyone
2. He forgives everyone constantly, even when they don't appear to have done anything wrong
3. He'd always have the threads on topic.

See? His niceness has rubbed off onto Bobby. Eventually, even the nasty members on this forum (I leave it to the reader to name names) will be chilled and nice to each other.

if he forgives everyone constantly, what good is he as a mod? He'd forgive them before banning them allowing them to continue as they were
